Correct. Drop rate seems quite common from what I've seen myself and heard from others. As long as duplicates are auto converted to gems (they arent tradeable and can't be manually converted as far as we can tell), then I have no problem with it. I'd prefer the loot table to be full of these than stupid masks that look almost identical and I'll never wear in my whole time playing

Getting a full set of pages will be ridiculous. Even if there was a page in every crate it would take dozens of crates before finding them all, with many duplicates along the way. Any other motif with pages is tradeable, so duplicates can be exchanged for unknown pages.

No, no. Its much worse. Motif Pages in Crown Crates.

So now, you have a chance at getting part of a motif/outfit you like and if you want all of it you have to buy a bunch of Crown Crates...

You have no problem with it? Not even the fact that motifs once used to be available to all players by completing content, and now they are becoming gambling fodder at a ludicrous drop rate?

NO! I learned to accept the whole crown crate exclusive mount/hairstyle/jewelry-stuff but don't put motifPAGES into the crates, ok put the book in accepted but not single pages... <.< i'm very open for these things but this is madness!

Even if they're common, you'll need to buy - at minimum - something like 15 Crates, assuming RNG went your way, you didn't get many dupes, you got more than one in at least a couple boxes, and you broke down literally everything else to buy the missing pages. Realistically it'd look like 40 or 50 Crates, maybe more.

That's a HUGE amount of money to sink into maybe getting a full motif. If you're cool with that, then... well... I envy your discretionary income.

Full book, pages, no way. Crown crates are RNG enough. Don't ever put motifs in there exclusively. The crates already have radiant apex mounts.

Sadly this is one motif I won’t have, I won’t be forced into buying boxes, and unless I’m lucky with free crates dropping the full book I’ll go without motif. I understand Zos are trying to increase revenue but putting motifs exclusively in crown crates smells like they are hunting the completionists, who are still a bit miffed about crown exclusive motifs. ☹️Unimpressed.

The most frustrating thing I see is if you open your free crates and get one page of this. You either trash it or use it and always have 1/14 in your library.

Could anyone tell me if the motif pages have replaced some of the other trash in the crates? or if they are in addition too all the potion, posions, food and other trash?

You will ALWAYS have consumable trash in crown crates. They won't remove it.

As Astrid said sadly these won't be removed as they work as a padding. Crates have a system for delivery of items which actually works out as only one guaranteed non-consumable item.

I dont buy crates but why is it sad how others spend their money? This is their hobby to, why do you think because they dont enjoy a hobby the way you do its sad. If people want to spend their money on a hobby how they see fit let them its pretty sad so many people think they can tell others how to spend their own money.

I actually just discovered this, as I don't have enough disk space to PTS (and didn't recieve an invite anyways). What the heck? Seriously? Tamriel, the Noisy-Las-Vegas-Shining-Ads-Casino-Glimmer-Edition? Goodbye, immersion. This looks like the last ditch effort to gain money one would do right before announcing the shutting of the servers. Anyways, I'm off-topic.

The sad thing isn't HOW people spend their money, it is the fact that in the act of doing so, they are encouraging more of this "put it in the crate, add more rng" mentality. I am certainly not hating on the players who buy these; they want the stuff, they buy it. It is there choice. ZOS or whomever within is responsible, is seeing this and piling more items into the crates, more rng into the crates. This is the thing that saddens me.

How long until they put houses into the crates with absurdly low odds? Trials skins?? I hope never.

You dont have to buy them Thats the bottom line. I dont and dont blink an eye at the new stuff they put in there and i would bet Thats the majority of the players.

Right now in the "video game forum community" the cool thing to do right now is complain about store items. The best part is most of those complaining were the same ones complaining about sub fees. Well these stores are here because these same people wanted free games.

These are not charities these are busineses that need money to help improve and add more content . I was against the f2p b2p models and now i sit back pay my subs and shake my head at the uproar these people created themselves .

I'm cool with it because I don't chase pixels in a video game. I'm not going to complete the motif sets, I'm just going to buy 30 or so crates (like I do every season) and see what I get.

This is really poor from ZoS and I’m not as against crown crates as some.
I work towards knowing every motif and currently do, some of them I’ve earned doing content, some I bought with in game gold and 1 I bought with gems since I didn’t want to spend the time searching chests or gold (BA motif) but to have this as the only way if that’s what happens is a horrible way to grab money from players regardless if it’s the entire book or a page.
