It helps to settle the cost of pots for raiding at least :')

Edit: And yes, I know that it makes the pockets lighter for those that purchase the motifs, but the event is reducing the overall price of motifs drastically. On the PC platforms it is especially notable, because of the assistance of addons that craft the goods for writs, and show the locations of quests, etc.

I found I made my fortune at the start of MW when you could sell the traits of the daily weapons of Sharp / Infused / Crit for nearly 200-500k per and also the BA motifs sold for nearly 250-300k per to begin with then shot up to 500k just before the crown store listing.

I just don't know how people are making so much money during this event; the prices for pretty much everything have completely bottomed out due to the glut of availability in the traders.

Except for low-level mats I suppose, but there's a timesink for farming there.

I've made around 2M so far selling motifs that my crafter already knows. And every motif my crafter learns is a motif that I can then sell if I pick up again. But I have been selling low for now for quick sales, but I have probably made 1M alone off of WC motifs and around 500K off of Silken Ring and Buoyant Armiger. And i have been buying anything priced lower than what I am selling for to flip. Also looking out for bad listings to buy up. Yesterday I picked up a WC motif someone listed for 17K and I haven't logged in yet today, but I imagine I've already made a huge profit off that motif.

I made more gold by selling motifs before the event, but still making some money but the market is flooded now with motifs and income from it is decreasing. On the other hand it is a good catch up to get your missing motifs.

Its still a win win for everyone :)

I've spent about 700k+ on WC, Bloodforge and Dread horn to complete those motifs - I haven't sold any motifs except 1 Militant and that wasn't discounted.

It's a buyers market atm - People in my trade guild will get a page that's worth 35K in MM and they list for 20k.

I've got about 100 decent motifs to sell, but that will happen well after the event has ended.

My sales numbers have actually dropped a bit - just shy of a million in sales last week, and normally I'm a bit over.

But then, I'm not selling motifs. I'm collecting them and sitting on them. I figure that if I wait a few months until the prices have returned to some semblance of normalcy, I'll have tens of millions of gold in motifs to sell.

See, I suppose I *could* sell my WC/BA/whathaveyou motifs right now, but to me it's like "why would I sell them now that the price point is through the floor?"

Eventually the price'll come back up as the glut in the stores dwindles out, and then I'll sell for double what they're going for now. I'm a patient guy; I can wait.

Haven't been selling stuff during this event, tend to never really sell. I prefer trading over selling anyways. I won't lie that this event is making it very pressing on inventory managing though. Pretty sure I blew above 700k during this event with bank space upgrades and also luxury furniture stuff.

How long is the even lasting? It says it was supposed to end the 16th... Well its still on and its the 18th and I don't remember seeing any notice about an extension...

I spent a ton of gold I made to complete Worm cult the other day, all the gold the OP is talking about, only to find out it was a waste as ive now naturally completed it via the extention.

    anyways.

How long does this event last or when is the official end date? And no, I don't tweet or w/e so that's not a viable source of info for me. Don't pick on me for being a grumpy ol man u whipper snappers. :D

Edit: 23rd of April, well, sweet. Glad I found out now that I'm broke and motif's are worthless, sweeeeeeeeeeet ;)

It is right at the top of the forum threads, posted by Gina. Because the EU server got busted the first few days they decided to add a week to the event on all platforms. It will last till Monday, April 23rd on all platforms: https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/406113/recent-eu-server-issues-anniversary-event-extension/p1

I have made only a little amount of gold during this event. I have only received 3 Worm cult Motifs, and I decided to learn them rather than selling them.

Made 500K initially, bought two of the smaller houses, back up to around 150K right now. Just doing crafting writs on 4 chars, CBA to do anything else daily wise. Currently have 200K of surplus motifs on sale. I never price ANY motif at more than around 50K unless its a guaranteed insta-sale above that being uber-rare etc.

The Xbox EU guild system has fallen to bits, and a lot of the trading guilds are a case of who you know rather than what you know. Only 2 of my guilds this week have a half-way decent trader (ones in Vivec this week, the other is in Ebonheart), and I have gone to 30/30 on both.

I haven't made much gold from the event. A few thousand, from doing the crafting writs.

Of the motifs I get from the AE boxes, go directly into my bank. I've only sold one: Aldmeri Daggers, but immediately put the "profit" into my guild bank (I support my guild this way - selling at far lower than market price, to help out guild members, then put gold into the guild coffers).

I've over 50 motifs in my bank, taking up space (I may have to buy a house chest to store them). I have 3 worth over 100k (current market price), but I see no reason to sell them. I'm definitely not short for gold. The citizens of Tamriel saw to that.

I'll probably use them to trade for motifs I do want. I want to learn every style of staff, bow, and dagger. As for styles, my alts are pretty set. I finally found the Abah's Watch chest motif so I can outfit the robe. I love the style and the dye application is just gorgeous.

I made nearly a million gold. 6 writs on 12 characters, 3 writs on 3 characters (too lazy to get 3 of them certified). Each writ gives you like 600 gold. SO that's 3600 gold per character, nearly 50k gold per day of doing writs. That's not including selling mats or motifs (holding on to motifs till after event ends). I did sell a lot of furnishing recipes for 500-1500 gold each.
