Why isn't there an ESO or Elder Scrolls Fanfest?

Warframe- TENNOCON sell out every year. But DE(Digital Extremes) with half the size maybe less then ZENI just puts out EXCELLENT content over and over. ZOS not so much.
But hey they’ll put your little costume convention in the crown store.
Let’s worry less about playing dress up and have them FIX many of the games problems. Ask the EU PLAYERS what they would have ZOS work on 1st .

This thread is littered with CosPlay options you could go to dressed up as ESO something. But you say no to them all. What are you specifically after might help the debate. Who's running it, where abouts, your expectation. Etc etc.

Personally i cant see many going. People are busy enjoying the game, and from my first experience in an MMO many players most don't seem the overtly social type, they'd prefer to be online. Hell its hard enough to get people to use a Mic in a dungeon.

But good luck to you, maybe just set one up. Would be easy.

To answer the OP: Because I spend too much money on the game to spend it on going to a con. Honestly, I'd rather prefer they put any effort they would spend on a convention into the game itself anyway. And I'd feel especially bad if there was some exclusive reward for attending in person when I can't make it. I love the game so much that'd probably just break me.

Cons are fun though. Could be cool (if done right).

They do. It's called E3. Happens once a year every summer.
As has been said, THERE ARE ESO CONS!!
The media section of this ESO homepage is FULL of videos from them.

I think what OP wants, since non of the actual ESO Events seem to agree with them, is a Renaissance Style Faire that is ESO themed. Maybe OP should just find a local Ren Faire in their area.

I feel like QuakeCon has a greater emphasis on Quake games and the tournament held there. Sure they show some upcoming games but it's not a place to cosplay as a Dunmer or anything.

I am European so the whole cosplay thing goes over my head. I have been to Eve Online fanfest and that is something I never wish to repeat.

European's don't cosplay?

I am sure they do,somewhere but I have yet to see someone cosplay.It's just not a big thing in my neck of the woods.

Every time I go to a major con in Poland, the streets are full of cosplayers. I'm pretty sure other European countries aren't much different in this regard.

not really- and they dont RP as much either. one thing i found drastically differnt between EU and NA servers is the RP community is much much bigger- which couldnt understand at first waht they were doing
