    Yes, I want and/or think Spellcrafting will be beneficial to the game in the long term.
    If the day ever comes where they announce spell crafting is dropped for good, I'm done with this game.

    Yes, I want and/or think Spellcrafting will be beneficial to the game in the long term.
    I like the idea of a spellcrafting system, it would be cool if we can craft a "spell" and use it as a consumable (yes like potions in quickslots).
    It would be not so unbalanced due it can share the same potions cooldown.
    So you can decide for example to use a potion or the spellcrafted scroll..
    Mine are only suggedtions but i think it can work for both sides(players and customers) due they can put epic or legendary spellcrafted scrolls in the magical CROWN STORE!! (Yes like potions or poisons)

    I'm pretty sure we can have both actually, if comes to be so evil to balance I rather have just 1 slot for spellcrafting and have the system than nothing. As for scrolls as consumables, that is a great idea, one time use skills that can be scribbed. That could be another system entirely, and really fun!

    Yes, I still do want it. It would provide the players with so many options and combinations, and allow them to tailor their abilities to what they envision their characters to become.

    Also, I hope there'll be "furnishings" tied to it, like atronach dummies, atmospheric effect, magical lights...

    Spell crafting will be a balanced nightmare. Zos should take on easier task like a ranged stam weapon, a melee mag weapon, or a new class.

    The truth is that from an objective viewpoint they have accomplished their balancing goals thus far. I may not like the fact that whatever class I am playing got nerfed x times...but in the end there is a healthy variety of classes being played in both PvP and PvE. Sure, some are moderately stronger than others in specific situations...but thats just how it is and will always be(and has always been). Overall the classes and abilities are balanced, you make sacrifices in one area or another regardless of the class you play. If ANYTHING spellcrafting(which by the way includes both stamina and magicka spells) will actually make it EASIER to balance the existing classes. Your stamblade is too squishy? Craft a stam spell to increase physical or spell resistance. Your Magicka DK spells cost too much to be able to sustain? Craft a slightly weaker version of some type with a lower magicka cost. Spellcrafting would allow players to shore up their own weaknesses, and if something becomes crazy OP, the devs will do what they do with every set or ability that overperforms...they will nerf it down.

    and what good does that spell do you if it costs 6579Stamina+6481magicka to cast? (3240stamina+4050magicka+3339 Stamina+2431magicka) What are the chances of having both pools high enough to cast the spell? Besides...being a generic ability and not a class ability the cost would be 10% higher anyway, so 7k of each resource...good luck being able to cast it...and if you did....you couldnt do much else until your resources regenerated. "Oh but I would still have a stam pool of 25k left after that"...true enough...but your magicka would be gone...no wings/cloak/streak for you...or vice versa, in which case no breaking free or roll dodging for you. Do you see the built-in balance? Not that the system would be designed that way anyway, you wouldnt be able to add all kinds of crazy effects, it would be more like:

    Elemental damage of your choice
    Your choice of single or multiple targets(with damage being higher for single)
    Your choice of targeted or AOE
    Your choice of burst or DOT

    So you might get a generic single target fireball DOT...or you might chose a fireball that circles around you doing AoE damage in a 4m radius...but you WOULDNT get a fireball that applies defile and roots the enemy...
