AD got screwed with town placement.

Bruma, halfway between EP and DC.

Chorrol and Cheydinhall are firmly in the front yards of EP and DC and crucially are without flags to draw attention so the jubilee dailies there are under the radar.

Vlastarus, the flag draws the blues. Cropsford’s flag practically spawns reds.

Resulting in all alliances having 2 contested towns, but blue and red each have 1 uncontested town.

AD got screwed by town placement. With a cyrodiil map based on three armies, placing a number of towns that is not some multiple of 3 created a geographical disparity. Out of sight, out of mind, so chorrol and cheydinhall’s status as daily quest towns passes unnoticed.

Some sort of possession flag should be implemented for both chorrol and cheydinhall. Upon entering Cyro, the status of all five towns should be visible. The forgotten towns should be neglected no longer.

Bruma is the best PVP town. It brings all the EP and DC fighters because it threatens both sides equally.

I want Cropsford moved up between Sej and Drakelowe and Vlastarus moved up between Nikel and Brindle so they too can have equally awesome fights as Bruma gets on a nightly basis.

Brazil is that unreachable town east of the east AD gate. You get eaten by slaughter fish trying to get there.

The town placement--particularly Vlastrus--does introduce distinct disadvantages to AD. Neither Bruma nor Cropsford provide spawn points within striking distance of four home keeps for DC or EP.

Granted, AD probably shouldn't have a vast expanse of nothing between Brindle and Black Boot, but it would even the odds--and provide additional worthy objectives--for Chorrol and Cheydinhal to be captureable as well. Summerset would be the perfect time to roll this out.

Alternatively, plop an Imperial earthwork redoubt somewhere around Ninendava, drop the flags on Cheydinhal, and call it good.

That could work *IF* chorrol and chey are wiped off the map, reducing the number of quest town to a number that corresponds to a 3 army map.

Crops just off the north end of the back entrance to the cave. Vlas at the edge of the warrior stone. BUT, moving V and Crops northward further away from AD means dumping the two extra towns would be necessary to bring the map into balance.

It is far far too late for any such thing to get into summerset. All big changes for SS are done.

If they shot from the hip and dropped flags there on their internal servers pretty much immediately, they might have enough of the update cycle process to fit the testing into the update after the land of elves, but that’s only if other issues don’t suck up all the attention.

    @Waffennacht

Except that Vlastrus allows for hitting four home keeps and a scroll gate, whereas the other two only allow for hitting 1 outpost + 1 keep (cropsford) and 1/2 keeps + 1 outpost (Bruma). The strategic value of Vlastrus is so great that the marginally longer rides to keeps are inconsequential.

Put another way, DC losing control of Bruma doesn't materially boost EP's ability to hit Aleswell or Dragonclaw vis-a-vis EP seizing Bleakers, while AD taking Cropsford only threatens Drakelowe (the 1 outlier keep, akin to Brindle or Dragonclaw). However, anyone seizing Vlastrus inordinately forces AD on the defensive, as any of four keeps (three crucial) could be at risk if we don't send a group down to re-take Vlast and find out where the capturers went.

Maybe you don't play AD enough to realize it (or to get the town's name right), but it's a sword right in our side, to the point where we post sub-groups there on guard duty on particularly active nights.

As I recall, my exact words were: "Someone get the Valtrex, we're having another flareup at Vlastrus."

I don't care for Cyrodiil, ever since BGs came to be, Cyrodiil is there for quick dailies.

Don't really care what happens, or which guild member of RFA gets to be emp. It's all a bunch of drama I'd rather not deal with.

So... With the discussion being about doing the daily quests and not PvP location placement importance... I stand by my statement: No other towns compare to Cropsford, Bruma, or Chey

Yeah the town locations are legit unfair on AD.

So easy to take back Scrolls for other alliances and take the first keeps.

The towns are so close to AD's base on each side I really hope ZOS look into this...

Their land is the easiest to sneak whole zergs past. Honestly I would fear ebonheart or daggerfall over ad any day. I'm also daggerfall and I like to look at the topography of the land by actually exploring it and seeing how interactions can be met from any side. Ebonheart has some clear signs of hard to navigate around certain parts of their own zone area, ad have an open area with lots of rock formations (that you could literally hard stack zergs to hide from others) and daggerfall seems to be more of an in between. Of the ones I think would be dangerous to have all holds handsdown is ebonheart. Daggerfall has opportunities to be very powerful but ad has an open field to mobilize. It is a bit of a hit and miss but I don't think ad is in that much of a good position when it comes to war efforts.

Yeah the ocean fishing spot is something. I honestly avoided it wondering if people would just leave you alone if you are fishing. I dunno if others do, if I see someone fishing I instinctively don't engage them unless they engage me first.
