So, who's gonna point out the pink elephant in this discussion, a.k.a. Protective (tied to 4man dungeons) and Harmony (tied to trials)? The two PvE exclusive traits?

This isn't Nirnhoned round 2, where the items were hidden behind an entire questline for one rng reward and the whole community needed to work to obtain and spread 34 different item variants.

There are only rings and necks, and clear sources to be farmed in varied game modes. Tradeguilds are going to have complete jewel crafting research available for purchase by the first weekend.

Point in fact was that apparently it is worth mentioning that there is a trait that will be acquired by pvp while conventiwntly forgetting there's two traits that will be from "endgame" pve and one that is summerset exclusive.

I am not complaining about either one. I'll be sitting on enough gold after this event to be able to buy what I need very quickly. My post was just to point out the... let's call it "hypocrisy"... behind making a post to point out the pvp component in jewellerycrafting.

Protective is just flat out bad. No one will use this. Ever.

Maybe someone will run Harmony on their niche war machine build? But probably not. Can't see this ever being used

Infused looks good for tanks (block cost reduction for daaaays) Some off meta builds will use this where stacking weapon or spell damage matters. Pelinials anyone?

Triune will also be for weird niche builds or PVP. Most people won't touch this. I think PVP will choose 3* bloodthirsty and PVE are better off with the normal max resource.

I think every pve build will have 1 or 2 blood thirsty, but more than that will gimp the other 75% of the fight too much. PVP I think everyone will stack this hard.

Every harvester will run 3* swift on their fiord and every theif will have 3*swift on their night Terror. Other than that it won't see use.

Very happy they actually tied things to different activities. Casuals and PvE players gonna cry hard anyway. PvP players are always crying so. Everything is tradeable. This jewellery crafting is going to be really good for the game. Going to refresh all the areas of the game. Very smart move.

Going to have to disagree with you this will not make me do Trails or dungeons at all it will make me *** tho
along with allot of other ppl when the trial items are 1mil+ on guild traders the first week

Sorry but you are just 1. Many players will start to do trials. Even if it's just a normal one. More people are going to join PvP aswell. That's your thing if you don't like trials. You can farm other things and just buy the jewellery then. Your choice. Why would anyway waste a lot of money on the first weeks. It's an MMO, no rush.

Traits wont be as big a deal as being able to use two craftable sets.

I can't believe they did this trait... they give more potential to burst builds... is going to be almost impossible if you are under the 25% health to somehow resist to come back to the fight.

Make a friend who likes PvP. Have them give you one.
That's what I'm doing for some of my friends who despise PvP.
I don't charge gold to friends or guild members. Never have and never will.
In return, they are planning on getting me the trial traits. All for the low cost of time well spent.
    It's a mmo....meet some friends people. See how it's a benefit?

They are sellable and PvPers always need money.

PvPers constantly whine about needing money, but when an event comes along where they could make a lot of gold, they instead choose to gank. I have no sympathy.

No one will buy bloodthirsty so you won't make any gold off it anyway.

Bloodthirsty is one of the stronger traits on jewelry. Especially on fights with a hard execute phase, where you want to burn down the boss asap.
And also in pvp, imagine someone beaming on a 30% health target, and he drops to 25% thats prob gona be an instarip ^^

also for bombers but tbh you will mostly need one piece, and arcane/robust will still be good no one needs to rush and get it asap on first day first minute

You mean like the Akaviri and Militant Ordinator motifs as well as the trait stones for the Alliance motifs?

    Welcome to 2015?

As others have said, they will be tradeable, so it really won't be hard to find traited items to research, particularly after the first rush is over.
