Can I research more than one jewelry Trait at once?

No. This is because the Lapidary Research Passive Skill does not grant the ability to research more than one Trait simultaneously (it only reduces research time).

You cannot research a Trait for a ring and a Trait for a necklace simultaneously. This is different to other Crafting Skill Lines where you can research up to three different Traits at once if you put Skill Points into relevant Passive Skills.

Its only 2 apparel, ring and necklace. The research time is not gonna be as long as you think.

With only rings and necklaces I am not surprised by this. Two at once would have everyone finished in a no time.

Well, if they come out with Jewelry research scrolls before most players have managed to research the traits, will those be pay-2-win?

Yeah not really shocked either. They want it to take some time and be something new, not another do it in the first day thing.

The marketing team and the dev team worked really well together on this one it seems. Everything poised for those jewelry research crown scrolls...

How on earth does that make it pay to win?

Your subject line (click bait) and thread content dont correlate. Everyone will be in the same boat on research.

And the debate on Jewellery crafting as a whole being pay to win is old and dull. Every DLC has things that are unique and shiny.

I don't like that they decided to make jewelry crafting a massive time sink. They spread out the materials and made research take longer than any other crafting line :(

And its complete Bull that they decided to make what may be the strongest trait be PvP locked.

Until evidence that two crafted sets are superior and offer a noticeable advantage surfaces, nothing about expediting research through crown/ crate scrolls bears any weight.

Oh. Noes. The trait that works like an execute is found in PVP. How awful. How could ZOS give those PVPers anything good.

    Seriously?

    Yep.

Smithing? 14 categories of passives to learn, 3 max slots - you can only research 21% of categories at once
Clothier? 14 categories, 3 max slots. Ditto
Woodworking is better, only 6 categories and 3 slots. So, 50%.

Jewelry has only two sets of traits, rings & necklaces.

Seems like trying to whip up controversy where there is none.

The article states it can be traded,
Finally, if you wish, you can acquire Trait items from other players, too. Acquiring rings and necklaces with these new Traits and the Trait materials themselves takes you all over Tamriel and has you participate in a wide variety of activities.

Just looking to get the traits? Research a bunch of traits on multiple characters and just transmog what you want. If you actually want to craft gear though you're better off with 2 characters each doing neck or ring.

It's not pay to win but it sure as hell is going to be a lackluster grind

At least we only really need 6 traits researched to make the most common crafted sets.

Being able to buy items that reduce the time it takes to complete certain tasks is not pay to win. Someone becoming a nine trait master crafter before you doesn't infer some significant advantage to them.

and there I thought the biggest boon from jewelrycrafting was ability to upgrade jewelry to gold... which unlike research shouldn't take all that long at all. after all YOU can research new traits you want most - first, so that you have them available for transmutation and leave the old traits for last.

You ever notice you can't research more than one type of item at once? Try researching sharpened sword, and precise sword at the same time. Or well-fitted cuirass and reinforced cuirass..... Not a huge thing, really. Now if the research time starts off at 90 days for the first piece, I'll join in the whining.

I'm glad to have a new crafting skill added. Are people going to buy quick passes? Yes, ofc. Personally I'm going to do this old school.

It was a Major Achieve learning all traits back in the day, I had all traits learned just before B2P launch.

Ill do the same with Jewelry crafting, gives me something to earn again!

if the first trait to research takes 2 days or even 5 days then i can say that zos is desperately trying to money grab with all the crown research scrolls that conveniently just appeared in the crown store. All the other research traits for the first time only takes like what? two or four hours? With it only being rings and necklace i do not doubt that they also raised the research timer to ridiculous levels.

The literal definition of pay to win is you can only get something if you pay $$$ for it.

The very fact the jewelry you get from crafting can be traded to other players immediately invalidates that argument.

If you can buy it with gold, it's not P2W.
