I played the Star wars The old republic, about a year after launch and they were ruthless with the progression... i never DC a single time, never failed a log in.... nothing... but this?
I have never in all my years of gaming paid Hundreds into a game - and been so flat line disappointed with my investment as this. been back on ESO just over a month, wasn't too bothered at first... issues happen with games and then they fix them. but in this case the issues are persisting repetitively

Other way 'round here. SWTOR and I had...issues. High pings, disco's etc. It was such a relief to come back here where I rarely have any problems (low pings, only time I have connect issues is when the whole thing goes haywonky).

lol its rather ironic to read that =p
I did like SWTOR but it just became a grind fest after a while so I came away. always been in love with the ES series, especially skyrim
Servers get overloaded, this is seen en cyrodil during hip population and during events.DieAlteHexe wrote: »Who knows? PvP events, the dungeon events
Even if poor code you can brute force it, an twice as powerful server can manage twice the load.

This is an powerful server lets name it Vivec.
224 cores, even if one core only handles 10 players it would be insane
Downside: if bised out it would set you back $100K, and its pretty much an all or nothing setup.
If the basic core structure of the game design is flawed, then no amount of server performance will get around that.Even if poor code you can brute force it, an twice as powerful server can manage twice the load.
