Maintenance for the week of April 6:
• PC/Mac: No maintenance – April 6

Poor service and downtime, = COMPENSATION?

As I return From my evening shift to be greeted by yet another downtime notice, 3rd or 4th in a week, after a hour of trying to log in and crash pre start of shift I think it is high time the players received some compensation.

If my broadband is down for an hour my ISP refunds a whole day, but as an ESO plus subscriber who also buys all the DLC and Chapters and Crown crates etc we get a week of terrible service, denial of services and all we get is a post on the forums, "Thanks for your patience" it is simply not good enough for a subscription service.

anything outside regular maintenance should be considered for a compensation peace offering, let alone during the middle of a special event where time can literally equal money (motifs).

@ZOS_GinaBruno @ZOS_JessicaFolsom I know you get it in the neck all day and I am sorry, but it would be nice for customers to feel appreciated when something like this happens.

Thank You

They won't compensate. They'll just 'thank us for our patience'. It's running thin here. I don't care about the boxes or the XP buff, but I do care that I can play the game when I have time to do so.

It sounds like you are against paying for maintenance. I think its a good idea for them to compensate players, but I don’t know any businesses that do that. Im sure there are some but I’ve never been compensated on anything besides pro-rated insurance and vehicle registration.

If they are not careful this will get so the servers aren't up long enough for us to spend our crowns - that's when the money people at ZoS might finally hire some coders to fix this nonsense...

I do understand your frustration. It is mighty disappointing to work all day and come home to a broken game.

But I'd honestly rather them not go through the wasted time and effort of refunding everyone 1 days worth, which I think comes out to be about $0.50 for subscribers. I certainly wouldn't complain if they extended the event by 1 day though.

If your isp goes down in america you get the following....

" Thank you for contacting customer support. A representative will be with you shortly...(commercials).... Please hold for the next available representative....(commercials).... Your call is important to us, please stay on the line for the next available representative...(commercials)... We are experiencing higher than normal call volume. Your estimate wait time is 3 hours and 8 minutes.....(commercials).... Your call is important to us, please stay on the line...(repeat)" We dont even get elevator music anymore.

When you get a rep who is in a call center 8000 miles away and suspiciously doesnt sound like a "Matt" like he says his name is... you are told that they are working on the problem and there is no estimated time until it comes back up, but they are aware of it and working hard on it. If you mention that you cannot use a service you are paying for they simply point out that they guarantee 99.9% uptime and this is your 0.1% downtime have a nice day.

Good luck with your "reimbursement" though.....

Psst... Zenimax is an American company. Just giving you a heads up.

You agreed to the ToS and in doing so agreed to the fact that they can patch, do maintenance or modify the service at any time they want, with or without notifying the playerbase.

Get over what? Read and understand my original comment before you comment. What I said was "Compensation will never happen". That was not a complaint. It was stating the facts to the other folks who were complaining.

I get it guys, I really do, there is no perfect time to take the servers offline. ZOS is going to upset someone no matter what time they do it; however, it is better for them to take the time to fix a problem than play a broken game. This MMO offers far more DLC and expansions at a faster rate than any other MMO I have played. It seems like we have more events and content than other MMO's with the same age. I don't like not being able to play, although for me the server is up 95% of the time, which is acceptable. I am a subscriber and I play daily so losing a few hours a week for maintenance, updates, patches, and new content is completely worth what I am getting in return. SO please @ZOS_GinaBruno @ZOS_JessicaFolsom give my thanks to everyone at ZOS for the hard work and continued new content of the game, while it's not perfect it is a great game.
