Whats "Concealed weapon" good for?

If you have morphed to this, for what do you use it? Sneak bonus? Stun?

I hgave tried this myself couple of times over the years, but the stun is not appealing to me as its only happening when coming out of stealth, and if i have physical weapon equipped, the stun happens with basic sneak attack and damage is better too. The sneak bonus is nice, but im vampire and its no use to me ...

And if i wanted this for damage, it does not seem to do much damage at all when comparing to surprise attack or in any other skill i have in my arsenal.

So what use is this skill for?

Well, you do realize that it's the MAGICKA version, so yes, it will do lower damage if you're using a physical weapon. Most people use it for the sneak speed bonus, since most Magicka players tend to play mostly from range.

This skill is for slotting on the backbar with shadow cloak and rapid maneuver whenever you're not doing serious content and would benefit more from being able to skip stuff/move fast than having a second bar for DPS.

It's quite excellent for going after things like the skyshard dye, because you can stealth past everything in the vast majority of delves and around the scroll temples in cyrodiil.

Double take with the Shadow Dancer set. A magicka stealth build can reposition themselves at will basically. Add mark and mage light to the other three skills, best way to hunt down hidden characters hiding in your keep or trying to gank players.

So its basically a speed buff on stealth? There really is no damage use for it?

Like i was wondering if it can be made crit at high damage.. The speed bonus is not very useful for me. All the speed i need in my play, is with Twisting path and vampire passive at stage 4.

Is this for magblade or stamblade? It should harder than Surprise Attack on a magicka toon.

On a stam build, yeah, it's just for the movement speed buff. Stick it on a vampire, and you can do some stupid stuff, moving through areas that you really shouldn't have the time or resources to. That said, you give up one of the Stamblade's best spammables to do it.

On a magicka build it almost makes stealth viable. You're going to be moving around with cloak anyway, and the speed increase is, effectively, a cost discount, letting you move further without setting off enemies. Of the two, I actually find it more useful on a stamblade geared towards infiltration. So, your primary benefit will be if you're rigging up a character to run thieves guild and dark brotherhood dailies, or if you're spending a lot of time in Cyrodiil.

It is a decent tooltip melee spammable for magicka builds that may opt for a dw setup or 2h magblades that run forward momentum. It has its uses.

This skill is necessary for one of ganking builds. Here you can see how I utilize it in cyrodil:

But can you use it in duels/1vX and come out the victor?

I use the skill when playing as a melee magblade and I use it for some much more than ganking. It does a nice amount of damage more than strife though hardly noticeable unless the initial hit of a preped gank or over the course of a long fight. The speed bonus allows me to not use a gap closer comfortably as the speed buff from crippling grasp + the sneak speed increase makes me walk 55% faster while I am using cloak, allowing me to catch up to my targets.

The speed buff is nice, I slot it on my resto/cloak/recovery bar from time to time.

It's also unreflectable--reflects counter most magNB setups pretty hard, so it can be helpful to have a nonreflectable spammable available, even as a "sideboard" type skill.

This is a fun skill to use, especially at low level in PvE. You sneak up and whack something and they just sit there while you charge up a heavy attack.

End game it has its uses like other people have said but it isn't the "one skill to beat them all" or anything.

It has both efficient and inefficient places to use it.

I guess i need to try this a bit more next time i release my skillpoints to get more for better skills from leveling skills. Seems like it can have interesting uses after all.

If you're wanting to do a stamblade DPS, then Surprise Attack is the vastly superior morph. If you're trying to get creative or using a magicka build, and sheer damage doesn't matter to you, then you might want to consider Concealed.

    ...

The Sneak bonus stacks on top of Vampire, making you Sneak faster than your normal movement speed
It also applies when using Cloak in combat, making the character move faster while Cloak is active

The Stun happens when coming out of Dark Cloak/Shadowy Disguise at any point in combat
but ZOS recently nerfed that so if the target is able to Detect you (potion, Mark, Light), the Stun no longer applies

Personally use it on my magblade for the CC and speed buff while cloaked + as a damage skill recently rather than Funnel Health

    Id assume most are vampire?
Shadow Dancer used to stack with the vamp passive for insane speed but it's no longer the case.

They do? Why have i been under impression, that no stealth speed bonus stacks with otherexept major expedition maybe -.-

Might be, since im not a fan of high speed stealthing, i like sneaking slowly and immersive even while its not the best way to play... This vampire character however, gives some lore reasons to seek out these speedbonuses and their benefits better.. Been playing since Beta, and i never actually cared to use much of stealth speed bonuses, i even dropped Nights silence back at the day, when it got a speed bonus to 4 piece set only :D

Yeah, i now. Im odd :P

I used to stack those in my "Dark Guardian" vamp NB healer build. Oh, fun times, sneaking faster than horses, chasing people down and Soul Assault ganking.
