    Hey there @Agobi,

This error usually happens within the browser. To resolve this error, proceed to the following troubleshooting steps:
    • Clear your browser history, cache and cookies, then try logging in again.
    • Try a different browser.
    • This error is sometimes linked to special characters being used in the username and/or password.
    • If you are in the process of creating an account using special characters we would advise you to remove them and try again. Changing the security question and answer may also resolve the issue.
    • If you have already created an account with special characters in your password, please change your password here and try again.

    Hope this helps!

Ok @Agobi , it's time for a full AV sweep with different anti-viruses. Also, check with extreme prejudice all autorun locations (registry, autorun folder, etc), use msconfig (if you're on Win) for that.Disable everything that you can't determine with 100% certainty. Check GPOs for user login and logout scripts.
It looks like that your system is infected, and problem is not on ZoS side.

PS: wherever you decide to sub or not matters little in your case.

    It does not work.

I've had to use IE for 4 months now to handle my account - on ESO and ONLY on eso.

That's not an US problem, that is a your website problem.

It is NOT US! There have been several threads about this issue that keep being buried by mods moving them.

This is to do with their website, not us, and not anti virus ffs. (Really?!)

I do not have this issue accessing my ESO account page. I just tried it on Chrome and Edge with no problem. If it was a problem with ZOS it would not work for me. This is likely due to some local configuration of the browser or certain installed plug-ins, or perhaps some of the issues @ZOS_KatP notes above for troubleshooting.

I do not have any special characters in my username.

That's YOU but many of us do. MANY. Including Alcast - and none of us are STUPID - and many of us are programmers/work in IT/programming/web site design etc.

I also do not have any weird chars or weird add ons or anything else.

Please if you have nothing useful to say, well you know the rest.

If you do not have the issue, just step on. This thread is not about you.

This problem started today for me, after having cleared my Chrome cache&history. I retried several times with no success, until I tried in Edge, where it went through without a problem.
Oddly enough, after having logged in successfully in Edge, it also worked again in Chrome :o

Or insted ...ZOS could fix their broken websites ;)

P.S Informing them that their nonworking sites cost them a sub is quite relevant imo :D

"and not anti virus" Yep, never said AV was the problem. Mo so, I said AV is a (possible) solution. Another lame trojan is spreading atm, it has a bug of fubaring cookies for sites with connected shop functions (Yes, there are bugs in viruses too). That's why I suggested to run full antivirus scan with different antiviruses. Wherenever you have it or not - idk, but changed behavior usually is a simptome of a larger problem.

PS: you, most likely, can read. Can you understand what you've read - that's the question.

You want a problem fixed or just to insult ZoS?
If later, why not just call them sh-ds instead?

As I said, it looks like you system is infected with malware. Wherever you decide to do about it - entirely up to you.
