Anniversary Event is a winner... ZoS get it perfect.

I don't give praise often - check my post history. I'm a harsh critic, but on that token, it should also add greater weight to my praise.

This anniversary event? The areas are vastly populated (with some lag issues, but you'd expect that) - and the festival has been a winner all the way around so far. Perfect drop rates for motifs and stuff - lots of player co-ordination and guilds have THRIVED under this environment.

Full props the Zenimax and the team. It was my favourite event last year, and this year it's doubled down on it. I've played almost without sleep the past couple of days... lol. Surprisingly, I've seen people stating that ESO is dying - and I've seen that in the past 24 hours a LOT... no idea what game you're logged into - but it's not this one. It's alive, kicking the hell out of everything and VERY well indeed.

The Jester's Festival, IMO, was terrible.

Except for some difficulties and multiple failures at logging into Stonefalls and Auridon at primetime where I assume everyone was trying to log into those zones to get their cake, everything has run pretty smoothly for me. Otherwise, my biggest worries have been inventory management on characters between boxes and crafted items for writs which is a good problem to have,

jester festival was actually an improvement over last year, imho.

the drop rate of the banners wasn't quite as insane this time around, at least, and shortening the duration was a good move.

that said, i'm really enjoying the anniversary event.

My main issues with the Jester's Festival event were that you could only get three boxes per character per day, and it only lasted like... four days, I think? I didn't think that was enough time, especially since it took a lot longer to get a box in comparison to the Anniversary event. It was the exact same event as last year too - at least this event allows you to choose which dailies to do for the boxes, making it less monotonous.

Needs a lil work like remove all the garbage furniture i mean really argonian baskets? Benches street lights all that crap needs to go leave only actual rewards not junk you find looting barrels

Drop Rate? I can only share my experience last two days and it's not too bad, almost one page (not always worm though) every third box, thus I'm quite happy

As to the event, it's only my second and I like it very much. What I don't understand is that it should be the 4th anniversary but I got the memento cake for the 3rd? It's certainly me

No. But it would be nice to have a sense of progression. As it is everyone gets a free WC page on their first few boxes and then some get nothing else. I have the luck of being able to do a lot of dailies each day. Those who only do a handful at best will stand no chance of collecting the motif at all.

The fact that we get random motifs is nice but it doesn't help when the one thing that people are after refuses to drop regardless of us opening 10, 50, 100 boxes. Besides we can obtain all the other motifs all year round. We cannot obtain WC all year round so unless we manage to get it during these days, the window of opportunity will be over and the motif will sit incomplete the whole year, unless we buy them off other people for inflated prices.

RNG is RNG. But with the amount of time and effort I have dropped in this event so far and having ONE page to show for it, you'll forgive me if I'm just a little bit pissed off.

This is definitely great stuff. Typical daily routines have been shattered. Doing content I would never do otherwise.

Except for the extremely aweful state of the EU server this is also my favourite event in the game - I love how alive Cyrodiil town quest hubs become; both for questers and people trying to gank them.

PvE incentivized PvP is some of my favourite MMORPG gameplay.

They didn't have an anniversary event for the first year if I recall correctly. This makes it the 3rd cake, not the 3rd anniversary.

It's my seconds anniversary with ESO..and I am happy regardless anniversary boxes. I am more after xp than motifs.
Getting various materials and motifs is a bonus..always welcomed.

Yes, drop rates of the juicy bits are fine - provided you are not yet stuffed. I am missing only some pages for bloodforge, dreadhorn and morag tong, aside from Worm Cult, and I am mainly only interested in WC. So having gotten those ~30 other motif pages provides some income but isn't really satisfying.

I would wish they took things like this into consideration and allowed collectors with almost completed motif collections a bit more from WC

But...the event is still running a couple of days, i might get luckier

Agreed. Drop rate wasn't amazing to me but it wasn't bad also. And i see some people getting really cool drops every now and then.

And the biggest part is that Tamriel as a whole is alive. Not like some DLC anniversary event which uses only let's say Wrothgar or Gold Coast. I remember the 1st day at 15.59 huge loads of people waiting in front of quartermasters to deliver quests at 16.00 lol. Could be the best thing i ever saw in ESO

didnt you just prove they are perfect? people enjoying the event are getting great drops even if it is wood. that wood helps me with writs so its good.
