Are channeled abilities the worse for pvp?

Biting jabs and other ones rarely hit moving targets. Do NB have instant abilities? Is that why they #1 in pvp?

Typically yeah, namely due to the fact you can't animation cancel channeled abiltites to spam them 4 times a second like with certain Other skills (well technicality you can anmi can them but due to the damage taking place over a few seconds rather than instantly you lose out)

combine that with the fact they lock down the user while being used....and you can see why they just...don't work Unless you sneak attack them with a soul assault then jump straight into backlash, total dark and radiant oppression, which will give you the (possibly) best shot at channeling somebody to death

Cone attacks also seem to do hit detection at button press, which leads to cone attacks missing a lot as you yourself move. Moving strictly sideways seems to force the hit detection to stay updated.

And yeah, channel skills have to be very powerful to compete with instant cast skills due to animation cancelling.
