I'm currently modeling Orc MagBlade alt as a Lich, and it's pretty stylistically close.
I'm using 2-piece Nerien'eth's, 5-piece Bahraha's Curse (AoE bar), and 5-piece Caluurion's Legacy (single-target bar).
My AoE bar is Volcanic Rune, Blockade of Frost, Twisting Path, Sap Essence, and Consuming Trap (Ultimate is Bolstering Darkness).
My single-target bar is Weakness to Elements, Merciless Resolve, Dark Shades, Swallow Soul, and Spiked Bone Shield (Ultimate is Soul Assault).
This build feels VERY much like a necromancer should, given how your abilities work on a target. You really do feel like you're draining their life force. And visually, it really does remind you of the lich mobs/bosses throughout the game. In all honesty, the only thing that's missing is some sort of undead summoning visual.
Using my build as an example, it would be nice to have a "skin" that would make the visual effect of Bolstering Darkness look like the skeletal hand AoE snare thingy some of the mobs in the game use. Little things like that, I think, would go a LONG way toward giving us unique-feeling characters without altering game mechanics.
Just my two Septims.
Lol "lichdom"
We are the vestige you know. The hero of tamriel.
How the hell can he/she be a Lich?? That makes absolutely no sense lmao

This is strictly a DPS set-up. I swap the front-bar frost staff for another lightning staff when I take it into dungeons.stimpy986b14_ESO wrote: »milesrodneymcneely2_ESO wrote: »Why not offer undead-style skins for Sorcerer/Warden pets? No differences in functionality, just cosmetics.

Very interesting setup. I do have a question though. Do you plan on actually tanking with it? because while it should be fine for normal dungeons, you're gunna want a sword/board bar and maybe swap out one of the skills (on each bar) for an instant taunt for vet dungeons and trials. Also they already have a system in place for collectible ability skins so I'm sure we'll be getting some zombie skins for pet abilities in a future crown crate season... then again I thought we'd get them with the previous one so who knows.

Funny thing is, this is my crafting/gathering alt. I hadn't even THOUGHT of running dungeons with it until I swapped to this setup and noticed how insanely quickly mob packs were melting with it. I run the front bar for trash pulls, and add in the back bar for boss fights.
Drives like a DREAM.
EDIT: I'm getting my spell crit buffs from potions, and regen and penetration values from Champion Points.
Vestige is practically half daedra half mortal that can become a vampire, werewolve with zombie personality/skin and ride around Skeletal mounts assassinating citizens in the name of Sithis but divines forbid if they want to cast a few more Soul Magic than we already have.
