I can't login to the game

I had to get support to send me a link to download the game and now I still can't login, not with ESO account or steam this version is not connected to steam at all like the old one was.

It is the standard steam error about the username may be incorrect or invalid or to load through steam if bought through steam I did not buy it through steam it still thinks I did though so that is why steam needs to be unlinked0
