I wouldn’t underestimate an 8 year old’s ability to play games. They learn and adapt really quick, their brains are little information sponges.

I wouldn't put it past my 10 year old son to kick my backside in PvP. Not because I am bad at it but because it seems like most kids that have been gaming since they were old enough are actually that good. (Fortunately for me he doesn't play ESO. He currently plays Destiny 2 (At 10 his group is clearing raids and running trials) and Roblox, ugghhhh with his friends.

Well if you don't mind handing that account over to the 8 yr old then you won't mind handing it over to me.

At least I will make use of it when you leave. The 8-year-old needs something more challenging like Battlefield anyway.

    I didn't play at launch.

I did play before One Tamriel.

I don't miss the railroad. I don't miss the artificial miss chance that meant I couldn't fight anything too many levels above me. I don't miss how everything below my level turned into a joke.

I especially don't miss not knowing how to do a rotation of skills, not knowing what armor to use, not knowing how beneficial food/drink buffs were, not having matching armor sets, and essentially not how to play the game.

Look, I was a noob back then. I'm not now. That makes a big difference. Now, when I want to feel challenged, I take off my 720 CP, roll a brand new character and enjoy the relatively harder difficulty.

I have been reading the challenge argument over many games through many years.....during that time I have noticed a trend of the same folks wanting it to be more challenge are the same ones that scream nerf the moment they can't power that sixtieth character through max level.

I dunno we all seem to want different things at different times and it's hard for devs to pick whose opinion is more worthy, so they try to find a happy medium. I enjoy the game play, but I understand some folks enjoy very hard games.

You can give this a try...when I get that urge I always have a good ultra hard RPG set aside, that seems to work for me it gives me that challenge fix, but most of the time I have so much else real world stuff I'm thankful for the semi causal gameplay.

The basic game content -has- neen nerfed in to "easymode", yes.
That is not realyl a bad thing... anyone here remember Doshia, pre-nerf? Or Mannimarco? I really don't miss having to come back ten levels later to a fight to get through it... and since these days you cannot do that, they -had- top lower the difficulty so even the casuals can get through the basic stuff.

Now, if anyone gets bored... there are other options...

    Soloing public dungeons for starters.
    Or maelstrom arena...
For more of a challenge, the latter in veteran mode or soling craglorn dwelves...

Groupy fun, well, dungeons too come in veteran mode, and there's trials...

And if anyone is so great that this too becomes boring, well, they can always see how much gear they can take off for it to be a effort still... :p;)

I feel the same way OP and voiced my opinion long ago. Prepare to be assaulted with do VMA over and over again, don't wear armor, remove all cp, use drop white con weapons, overland and delves are only for new players, your supposed to run vet dungeons/maelstrom Ad nauseum until the next patch brings a dungeon, and on and on. The majority enjoy running the vet dungeon/trial ratwheel over and over and feel that should be the only place challenge should be for higher level/cp characters. As an experienced player I'm starting to feel like not even bothering to buy any future expansions because all of that overland content is a waste to me if there's no challenge. Sure the story's good but with no challenge why do it? I don't mind running a vet dungeon a few times to get the gear I want or maelstrom but doing that daily because that's the only place for a challenge gets old quick.

I recently bought a copy of Morrowind for my grandkids and with no cp they've been ripping through stuff alone pretty easy too. Sure I gave them some pointers in the beginning to get them going but I've yet to have them ask me for help killing stuff short of world bosses.

You can give this a try...when I get that urge I always have a good ultra hard RPG set aside, that seems to work for me it gives me that challenge fix, but most of the time I have so much else real world stuff I'm thankful for the semi causal gameplay.

What Rain said here is your best best and is what I do now to. I play ESO nowadays very part time, not near like I did the first 3 years, and for those nights I want a challenge I fire up a harder RPG (Baldur's gate series, Dragon Age origins, or Shadow of Mordor .

This gets posted a lot. But vMA is one piece of content. Overland is 95% of the game.

Chapters in this game launch with 30 hours of tutorial content, and one piece of endgame content (large group only). The ratio of tutorial content to challenging content in this game is way out of balance.

We need more zones like Craglorn that have content for both new and vet players.

I keep hearing that, and even after reading the TOS numerous times, still haven't seen it. Note that letting someone play on your account on an occasional basis while you are there is not a "transfer" - the TOS does disallow account transfers. Note that the account owner is also 100% responsible for all activity on their account, regardless if they let someone else play on it, and can have their account banned due to someone else violating the TOS on their account. Other than that, the TOS is largely silent on letting someone else play on your account. Here it is:

Accounts are non-transferable under all circumstances. You have sole liability for all activities on Your Account and/or under Your user names. You may be held liable for losses incurred by ZeniMax or other third parties due to someone else using Your Account, user name or password. Your Account or certain features of Your Account may be restricted, suspended, and/or terminated if someone else uses Your Account, user name or password to engage in activity that violates these Terms of Service or is otherwise improper or illegal. You agree to notify ZeniMax immediately of any unauthorized use of Your Account, user name, or password, or any other breach of security.

They should try magplar. You can slot 5 sweeps so you cant miss cast anything. If manimaco is too hard, sloth heal and rune. Now he is easy too.
