Help me with a StamSorc

I’m trying out a stamsorc and farming sets. I’ve got 5piece draugr hulk and gonna run another 5 piece and two monster sets. I need suggestions for my second five piece set. Stuck between Hunding, NMG, Spriggans. Other set ideas are also welcome! Thanks in advance!!

PVP or PVE?

For lower level PVE, running dungeons and such, I'd pick up hundings and Night mothers. Both are crafted so swapping them out based on group play is pretty simple.

For higher level pve, you'll want to go with Automatons plus Acuity for maximum damage, or Sunderflame plus Night mothers for group utility.

In PVP Spriggans is a nice choice, unless you are running Bleeds, but I'd probably go with something a bit more defensive.

Strength of the automaton is the go-to damage set for stamsorcs, it gives 400 weapon damage to your physical abilities (and almost everything a stamsorc uses is physical). Usually that's paired with a support set in trials or another damage set for 4 man content or a sustain set for solo; for trials it's usually nightmother's, sunderflame, etc. For a 4 man damage set you can pair it with hunding's rage, vicious ophidian, twice fanged serpent, or night mother's. For solo vicious ophidian is usually preferred for the sustain.

Monster set should be either kragh or stormfist. kragh gives penetration, stormfist gives recovery, both can proc pulverize very reliably (though really stormfist is slightly better IMO).

Personally I run automaton + unfathomable darkness. Unfathomable isnt a top tier set, it gives a little health and penetration for the lower bonuses and the 5 piece averages at around 2-3k DPS single target, but I use it mostly because I like the birds. Still able to hit 25k~ dps with that set on.
