DC zone? *narrows his eyes* Murkmire is part of Black Marsh and therefore belongs to the Pact.
Where did I say that Murkmire is a DC zone? I said we don't need another DC because we already got one. That was a direct answer to the person that said a DC Chapter should be next.SilverIce58 wrote: »Seraphayel wrote: »SilverIce58 wrote: »Seraphayel wrote: »Isn't this rather the new Chapter next year and we get Mephala's Realm as a zone later this year?
Maybe we'll get two zone DLCs, Mephala's Realm and Murkmire? Altho I'd rather have Murkmire as a chapter like you suggested, with Spiral Skein as the zone DLC.
I mean how would Murkmire fit into the Summerset setting/lore? Clockwork City was teased during Morrowind so I'd say Mephala's Realm (which they announced as a zone several years ago) seems quite likely as the Q3 or Q4 DLC and Murkmire next year.
And we don't need another DC zone. DC got Craglorn and Orsinium already.
I mean, I don't see it "fitting in" with the Daedric War storyline that's been happening, so if it was a DLC it'd be Q4 DLC, but if it's a chapter, then we don't have to worry about it.
Also, what are you talking about, DC zone @Seraphayel ? Spiral Skein is the name of Mephala's Realm.
We still need to fill in the rest of Hammerfell, Elsweyr, Black Marsh, Morrowind, Skyrim, and whatever other parts of Cyrodiil. We're done filling in High Rock, Valenwood, and now Summerset.
And where did I say Mephala's Realm is s DC zone?
so what makes people think that because Murkmire has been datamined that it means a DLC zone versus DLC dungeon?
I'm really hoping we see southeast Cyrodiil at some point, Nibenay Valley (Bravil, Leyawiin) and east to Blackwood. I would also like to see the Bay of Topals in eastern Elsweyr, though I think that those regions are flu-ravaged during this time.
The only problem with them adding Murkmire now is that it will literally be half of the zone it used to be. When we saw the original map back in 2014, it looked to be quite a large zone. It was going to be an Adventure Zone a la Craglorn probably with a comparable number of delves and group events and the such.
If they release it now, it’ll just be the size of Clockwork City, 2 delves, 2 world bosses, one main hub. And that’s a great shame. I wish we could have seen original Murkmire.

Well, we don´t know yet how is it gonna be. There´s still much time and a chapter between now and Murkmire. Always considering the case that the datamined things are for this year, or actually gonna happen. We already had news about Murkmire a long time ago and it didn´t happen. Let´s wait a little bit before making any assumption.

I'm honestly kind of hoping for Murkmire as a Chapter. (Though it makes more sense for the next to be DC-related, but what's left of the DC to visit?)

how do Bosmer and Argonians not come together to throw down the Aldmeri overlords? I mean we got Hist and Yffre, etc.

The datamine shows 16 cells ... Same as Clockwork City.

That's my fear as well. However, I just can't see them shrinking the zone. If so, there's more area left for future DLC/Expansion I guess.

Someone who knows a bit more than me can correct me if I'm wrong
But I'm pretty sure the zones in this game aren't scaled the same. Meaning ZOS could occupy all of 'murkmire' on the map, and scale it to whatever size they want. So just because the zone may be smaller, doesn't mean there is any guarantee that there will be anything left to expand, in that area
I probably explained that badly but whatever

In that case, I can't see why they'd shrink the zone, other than for lack of content. I thought the number of map cells implied the map size.
