Little bit of new Murkmire datamining

In the 3.3.9 update for The Elder Scrolls Online, which came out a week ago, there are new references to Murkmire - the field of the Blacktail, which in the future should appear in the game. The path to the textures responsible for the zone map has been added to the file table. There are no map files in the archives yet, but the appearance of their names in the file table may indicate that in the fourth quarter of this year we will visit the next region of the Argonians. We remind you that Murkmire was to become the second adventure zone after Kraglorn, designed for group passage. The first version of Kraglorn did not win the love of the players, so in the future it was adapted for a single passage. Probably the same fate befell and Murkmire. Ooo! So this is likely the winter DLC this year? Makes sense given so many assets from the Mazzatun dungeon DLC can be reused. Heck, now I'm wondering if we should expect Skyrim DLC/Chapter next year after the Falkreath dungeon pack introduced new assets...

I'm honestly kind of hoping for Murkmire as a Chapter. (Though it makes more sense for the next to be DC-related, but what's left of the DC to visit?)

I don't really see how Murkmire could be related to Summerset . But they did say Summerset was the end of the story that started in Orsinium so, anything new could pop up.

Has anyone tried to access the area yet in-game? I wonder how fleshed out it is - empty space, placeholder names, basic environs, or actual structures? I might want to take a look if it's far along enough to have wayshrines up.

YAYYYYYYYYY!!!

I love Morrowind and Alik'r Desert but that Black Marsh Dark Brotherhood sanctuary you visit in the DB DLC has to be the most alluring, dazzling and intriguing zone of the whole game.

Plus the Argonian architecture is marvelous and unique, can't wait, thanks for the heads up!

Space wise there is still a lot of Hammerfell to explore, though it is mostly lightly populated. I feel like the Reach could be expanded but that may be encroaching into Skyrim vs DC territory.

I mean, I don't see it "fitting in" with the Daedric War storyline that's been happening, so if it was a DLC it'd be Q4 DLC, but if it's a chapter, then we don't have to worry about it.

Also, what are you talking about, DC zone @Seraphayel ? Spiral Skein is the name of Mephala's Realm.

We still need to fill in the rest of Hammerfell, Elsweyr, Black Marsh, Morrowind, Skyrim, and whatever other parts of Cyrodiil. We're done filling in High Rock, Valenwood, and now Summerset.

Where did I say that Murkmire is a DC zone? I said we don't need another DC because we already got one. That was a direct answer to the person that said a DC Chapter should be next.
