What makes Summmerset a chapter?

Seems like a regular DLC to me, not much game changers. Big zone, 12man trial jewelry crafting and a new guild with its own abilities. Doesnt seem to justify the big price tag. 59.99 For Digital Collectors edition - 89.99.For physical collectors edition. 29.99 for digital upgrade.

I have to agree this time. Morrowind offered features that were worth to be called "Chapter". Warden and Battlegrounds were pretty big features.

Summerset offers nothing in that regard. Jewelrycrafting should be a base game update for everyone and just one (as of now pretty underwhelming PvP focused) skill line isn't worth the price either.

Nevertheless I already pre ordered the CE. I love them Collectors Editions and I love this game but what ZOS is not good for the game. Summerset has zero features that are worth $40. And on top of that, we get the "biggest zone yet" again where 30-40% of the landmass is inaccessible...

There is a reason why Summerset is cheaper than Morrowind. It offers less than Morrowind. Nevertheless it is still way overpriced. For the amount of content $15-25 are okay. And not $40 or more.

I really wish ZOS would step up their game. ESO is pretty good but needs a lot more devotion from ZOS to thrive and be great (again).

Not really. Clockwork City had a zone, a trial and the new outfit system. And is free for ESO+. Summerset just adds a new skill line and a larger zone. And that's worth ~ $30?

i think its a brilliant move putting it into summerset. gets more people buying it. half the forums are whining about the content now, if you took something out of summerset many people would not buy it. im not one of those people. already bought CE upgrade - no physical collectors atrocity this time. and the statue doesnt look as good as the one with morrowind either.

Right of course ill be getting collector edition for 89.99 because i enjoy this game and like physical ***. And ZoS knows this thats why they can and will and price gouge us. Jewelrycrafting is a base game feature, you do not need summerset to partake in said crafting. So i have read this but its hearsay no confirmation from zos.

They say 35+ new questing adventure but how easy the overland is can get these questsmdone in anfraction of time. I do hope they add a difficult option for overland zones so it will be more engaging but i don't see tthis coming.

Jewelry Crafting is nice, base game +1/2
The Pjsic Guild skill line is exicting, well the idea of it. +1
12 man trial, hope its more exciting than hof, and not as short as AS +1
New biggest zone yet but as someone mentioned only 70% is accessible +1/2
"35" hours of new quests, maybe 10 hours for most of us or less. Repeatable quests you farm items for doesnt count for me. -1/2
2.5 stars out of five for content excitment. If i missed any content please let me know. Just doesn't seem to be much going for summerset. (IM MORE EXCITED WITH THE PHYSICAL ITEMS LOL)

    Statue of Mephala +1
    Ra'dar *spelling* Journal/artbook +1
    Steelcase +1/2
    Physical cloth map +1/2
3 stars out of 5 for physical items

Everything included with the DLC CE and all the bonus for pre-ordering and last chapter included as well Morrowind. ZoS should exclude that portion from the price for people that already bought that chapter, paying for it twice not cool.

Maybe in the future we will get more details and more revealing information on what to expect with summerset especially when it hits PTS.

I would like to see another Dragon Star Areana for 4 players with all new encounters. DSA has been stale for some time.

Its because the quality of the regular DLC is dropping.

CWC was the most underwhelming DLC for me to date. I feel like 90% of the quests are fetch quests.
At least thieves guild and dark brotherhood had a reason for that style. It sorta had a purpose. But for me, just going someplace and looting something repetitively is why I hated wow.

Wrothgar dlc for me was a more enjoyable experience than even the "chapter" Morrowind.

It´s called chapter (even though it´s downloadable content, i.e. DLC) so ESO plus members are forced to pay extra for it.

Maybe not. Guess it depends on how much value you personally attach to Summerset.

Personally, I would've paid the original Morrowind price of 40, no complaints. It's worth it to me.

Enormous island with substantial amount of caves, ruins, points of interest, extraordinarily beautiful Five Major Cities.,towns, settlements, hundreds of Npcs, monsters, fiends, vile creatures, animals, The entire mini world.

Entering the brand new Stunning realm of the Elves, Hundreds of quests. I have no doubt Main story shall satisfy.

    Trials/Challenges/Journeys.

The previous DLC's where too tiny and inconsequential to compare with Behemoth of Summerest.

Comparison to Auridion , second largest of the Isles which is substantial already.

The Whole Isle of Summerset ~ Based on the playable scale it shall be more acessbile than even Vvardenfell, My prediction since the Red Mountain was dominating most of the Central Island.

    vibsaL9.png

    Comparison to the entire continent of Tamriel. Add the Isle of Artaeum {Psijic Order}

The isle is gigantic, that isn't not enough for a Chapter? It's the largest and the most Epic landmass/Isle released indeed.

I can guarantee there will be no more than 6 world bosses, 6 delves, and 2 public dungeons, no matter how large the map is. It's the same for Wrothgar and Morrowind.

Is this a joke or are you a ZOS marketer? This is just the usual marketing blabla and nothing else.

"Enormous island with substantial amount of caves, ruins, points of interest etc." - yeah, like Morrowind. So massive. And then there is Dagoth Ur blocking half the enormous island of Vvardenfell. Guess what, it will be the same on Summerset. Eton Nir is blocking half of the island. They placed the trial there that they can say "you can access Eton Nir!".

    Hundreds of quests? *lol*

I'm pretty sure every Chapter looks quite underwhelming compared to Orsinium so...

And no, that isn't enough for a Chapter when "big features" are missing. We can talk in 2 months when we've finally seen Summerset but I am absolutely sure we will NOT get the entire island. The mountains/hills parts of Alinor will just be inaccessible like it was on Vvardenfell.

Impressed by what exactly? I wish I would be impressed but I'm not. Again, I already ordered the Summerset CE but the contents of the Chapter aren't very convincing.

Didn't they say the other evening that there was more info to come about Summerset? Are we, perhaps, not judging prematurely?

Or did I miss where it was conclusively said "this is all of it, guys, enjoy"? Totally possible, lots of distractions when I watched.

Even the quest that leads up to it that we can do now, its quality level is higher than morrowind. And that is just a taste. I was not super excited for morrowind and it was a pleasant surprise to me, but I am looking forward to this, so I dont expect to be disappointed, orsinium was the only original map so far, and that was amazing, all the fanservice maps so far were all "ok" .

You think they kept some of the big features away from the announcement? Why would they do that?

I know they said they haven't told us everything yet but what else should there be? The "exciting" stuff when it comes to features was already announced because that's the selling point for the a Chapter.
