Honestly this is just funny to me. No one complained about NBs before with Combat Warnings from Miats and Co., and now that that has been dealt with, as it should have been, people are lining up to cry about nightblades. Seriously, I cant take any of the threads seriously cuz all I hear in the back of my head is " Miats is gone, so now I dont want your class to be useful ".

Never had this add-on ps4 or xb1 we are still complaining. It's the changes to abilities that buffed them indirectly and how dodge works. Snipe was never an issue and that is what the add-on gave alerts to. Snipe is not an nb ability so I'm not sure how you are conneting the 2.
Because its overtuned as heck. The counters are either near useless, or broken and zergy. Because absolutely every other defense has been gutted so some how the stealth skill provides the best mitigation, outnumbered scaling and disengagement, whilst also giving offense.
Dot suppression, BS, its invisibility, not invincibility. AoEs are much more costly to use to break cloak, and they just go back in. (Its a fair scaling and skill based counter IMO, but it's in favor of cloak, add the extras and it becomes overtuned.) You can cloak whilst detect potted or in an AoE to force miss. Detect pots don't last long enough and got a range nerf. Mark is NB only. Both these should allow you to see and hit the cloaker, but not reveal them to others.
Invis, cloaking projectiles, crit, and the rest of the NB is fair game. 1 button wonder isn't.
How is it suddenly overtuned? It hasn’t received anything except a nerf when purge was removed from it. AFAIK, since it was nerfed, it hasn’t been changed at all. Why all the crying about it now after all this time?
Anything that broke it was fixed, anything that made other defenses (hell, even classes) comparable was nerfed. Other NB things have been fixed/buffed, shades, resolve, etc. (Fair. No one likes a broken class.) Other general changes like dodge counter changes (Again, mainly fair, a few things shouldn't be but eh.) allow some high synergy between roll/cloak. (MagNB is better, but it doesn't change the fact that compared to literally every other defense it is overtuned.)
I think invisibility is balanced. I don't think the added extras are, and I don't think the counters are balanced, sort of like shields it goes from very hard and not fair to counter, to completely useless. And ZOS never should have blanket fixed it to suppress dots. Its silly.
I think people forget that NBs are designed to be a slippery class. Their heals rely on successful kills which serves no purpose during a 1v1 fight. May as well be no heals if vigor isn’t unlocked or you are out of pots.

Show me the NB that doesn't have Vigor unlocked, and is out of pots, and has yet to unlock Rally, and I will show you the Templar who hasn't yet unlocked Extended Ritual (purge), Breath of Life or isn't a vampire for mobility.
Some things you just have to assume. Not like it is difficult to unlock these things.

Difference is that vigor you have to pvp, everything else can be obtained in pve. bol can be the 1st skill morph you unlock as a templar. I dont know the level requirements for vamprism, but Im sure it is easily aquirable. Momentum and then rally you need a 2h of 38. Cleansing ritual you do need to be at cleansing light 30.
I came over to this thread just to see if there were a bunch of salty NB mains vehemently defending their class. Was not disappointed
Fr though it’s amazing how this stuff works. Whenever a class is up on the nerf block, so many ppl who main the class immediately jump to defend it no matter what. They’ll talk about how weak their class “actually” is, say there are tons of counters, tell you to L2P, etc.
In the end...... nerf Mag Sorc

This is a nerf nightblade thread, what are you even talking about?

It’s a nerf Mag Sorc thread now

You need around 48k AP to unlock Vigor. Even a new hapless PvPer can get that faster than level 38 for 2H.
This is a non-issue. Vigor is basically available very easily for any who want it. Just follow the Zerg for a couple hours. Done.
I would just prefer that all the combat threads be moved to their appropriate category like everything else is. Besides, 99.999999% of these NB threads are because of PvP. If I am really wanting to see another nerf NB thread, I can go to PvP section of the forums with a bowl of popcorn when I need some entertainment.
