Launcher stuck on "Update" before starting Download.

Trying to install ESO on a new PC.
Got the Install file from my account. Execute that, which pops up the Launcher. But it wants to update, yet only gets to 70% and then stops. Currently stopped there for 2-3 hours.
What is the problem here?

Also, there is a way to copy the game files from one PC so that you don't have to download the entire 70GB again

If you go that route, all you really have to do after the copy is run the repair function.Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

dannymcgr81b14_ESO✭✭✭✭Ok. There seems to be a problem with the launcher and status. I had the same problem as the op. Uninstalled and restarted a few times. Then I just stopped the update box and restarted the launcher and it started downloading and installing the game. I checked about an hour later and it said it was at 3%. I stopped it and restarted and it jumped up to 55%. It seems to be downloading normally but just not registering correctly on the status bar.0

dannymcgr81b14_ESO✭✭✭✭Well, crap. Now I'm getting a 206 error. Someone does not want me playing this game.
*And after repairing I get a fatal error 12. Not sure if this is a bug or not but I'm tired of messing with it. Guess I won't be playing tonight.Edited by dannymcgr81b14_ESO on March 16, 2018 8:12PM0
