Can’t knock players off ledges anymore. Dizzying Swing and Flame Reach Bugged.

With the change to the knockdown and keep grates being changes this hasn’t been working right. It seems like the same change was made for ALL surfaces and not just the grates.

In Tempest island it was always fun to wrecking blow the add right next to the last boss. Now it can’t be done. The adds and players start this slow fall animation when they should have been knocked off.

Anyone else notice this?

    +1 I thought I've noticed that it's harder to knock people off ledges in PVP. I could be mistaken, though. I've leapt at a few people on the tops of keeps and bridges. IIRC, only one has actually fallen lately... maybe he was on the razor's edge of the ledge at Seg? :p
    Want to enjoy the game more? Try both PvP (crybabies) and PvE (carebears). You'll get a better perspective on everyone's opinion.

    No problems doing it with javelin.

    Oh, you can get knocked off just fine, you just can't get knocked through. I got launched from the middle of the grate over the side by a dragon leap yesterday.
    I am currently worried for the future of ESO. Population seems like it is in free fall and the cancellation of the North America in-person gathering feels very much like pulling the plug. Kudos on fixing the in-game economy though. Clearly whatever gold shenanigans were happening the last couple years are fixed.

    Trolling people on the grates was one of my favorite things to do in this game. I even managed to save dragon claw once by myself vs a group by doing it.

    Zos doesn't like fun.

    Not when it was fun In PvE. I can understand the grates that’s fine. But Every Area in the game it sucks. I will post a video so you can see.

    It’s not about the grates. I can’t even knock someone off the edge of a keep. Like I have been doing for 3 years.

    I've had no issues whatsoever knocking people who are LEGITIMATELY at the actual Edge of a surface cliff


    The only thing that doesn't work anymore is knocking people THROUGH surfaces they clearly shouldn't be falling through.

    I don't care if you are a wood elf height, you are never falling through a surface the size of a footstep on grates. It was a Bug Fix that can no longer be exploited. The only people who found it fun, were people who enjoyed exploiting something that clearly defied physics of a body not fitting through an area the size of a shoe.

    I’ll have to put a video up. No grate slow fall that should have knocked them off but didn’t.

    I agree with no grate falling but this happens in other places.

    Let's see this done from a height where this 'slow fall' prevents the victim's death. In other words, if you weren't knocked off, but simply jumped off, the fall resulted in your death or a loss of most of your health (meaning the 'slow fall' prevents this damage). Seeing someone slow fall from a height that wouldn't do any damage anyway (or a negligible amount of damage) is underwhelming and can hardly be called a bug, maybe an annoyance, but a bug that effects gameplay? meh.

    I see. They do get knocked down but they don't get knocked back when standing on the edge of a ledge (that has no grate), however, if they are standing at the top of the stairs (the edge of the upper stair) they do get knocked back (and then knocked down at the bottom of the stairs). Yea, it should work the same way at both places.

    No issues with reach in cyrodiil or BGs for me

    Edit: knocked lots of people into lava and off bridges in BGs

    It seems to be on certain ledges that it won’t work. Mainly interior of keeps on the sides and edges. Occasionally on the ledge of the bridge as well.

    Encountered this issue (well I was the one being hit) it was at that University BG, I did not go over the ledge

    However leap did knock me off a ledge in that new windy snowy map

    In my guilds we used to refer to the grates as the "noob filter" as you could tell people who weren't experienced in PvP because they'd stand on it and get knocked through.

    I like that they fixed it but i wonder if there's truth to making people float rather than fall in Cyrodiil.

    This needs to be fixed. The hilarity of knocking someone sideways off of a keep ledge is enough to complain about this.

    Well seeing as not a single grate actually had enough Area space to fit a body through, they are never floating


    Its called landing on a physical surface and not apparently being a ghost going through solid metal

    Give or take 1 year till completely addressed.
