Edit: the more i think about this the more angry it makes me. Someone at ZoS actually went through the crown store, saw this at 6000 crowns, and instead of saying, geez this should really be removed, they put a sale on it to further deceive new players who are un-aware at the price of the set in gold. Absolutely disgusting stuff.

right, because the price that players set in gold should always be taken into account when zos price things. NOT.
they took something that was there already, and reduced it. and look at the hate they get for doing that. I dont recall the outrage when it was 6000 crowns. but reduce that and OMG! you suck ZOS!
if this is how people react to price reductions, maybe they shouldnt have anything on sale. If you want something you can pay full price instead. OR you can earn it in the game. They arent stopping you.
Individual pieces going for 2-8K gold do not justify the entire book having a 6K crown price tag. And now that the price is marginally reduced to 5K crowns for a limited time, people are once again reminded of how messed up the price of that motif book in the CS actually is. Both origigal and reduced.

your problem is you think player set prices in gold should affect crown store prices in crowns. Thats the worst idea ever. If that happened, what do you think would happen within a week? thats right, every single item available in game and crown store, would be reduced to like 1g. Then players would still whine the crown store was too expensive.
Player set gold prices, and crown store crown prices are not set the same way, nor should they be. This is garbage whining about how much in game gold they are worth. Would i spend the crowns on this? no. But i dont go postal for them reducing it like some people in here.

Edit: For those of you who think I’m making this up.
Ha ha ha ha ha $60 motif... wtf are they thinking

If I don't buy it (and I'm not going to) does that mean I have to surrender my Whale Card?

Sells 5k a piece max. The pain is searching and passing through all those hollowjack and mercenary motifs xD
#Buffguildtraders
They had BA motif for cheaper, they really should start playing the game.
3.7m set Motif cheaper than 50k motif hm.

I swear they are trying to compete with EA for being the most shady company out there. This is a B2P MMO not one of those F2P garbage MMO's with P2W tactics! We shouldn't be nickel and dimed this hard on a game we actually had to purchase. ZO$ has lost me, others before me and will continue to lose more and I can't wait for the day they shut down so I can laugh at them!
I keep up on the forums when I'm bored at work and hope to find things that will make me laugh but I mostly find crap like this showing how ridiculous ZOS really is. I think Bethesda needs to step in before ZOS completely ruins and tarnishes the Elder Scrolls name. I won't stop buying TES games (made from Bethesda since I know this is the fault of ZO$ but most people will still associate this and TES in general and it will tarnish the series) but anything Zenimax has now become to me what EA is and I haven't touched an EA game in a decade or so now.

if they did that, i guarantee within a week all items avail in crown store that you can get as a drop would be worth 1g. Players would do it just to spite ZOS. then complain if ZOS doesnt drop the crown price.
Its a BAD idea to use gold prices to set crown prices.
