Vet scalecaller run hijacked by group lead.

So after 2 hours of dragging my ass through vet scalecaller, we finally get to zaan, someone drops out, the group leader kicks the rest cause "you guys said you were done" which no one did, and invites his buddies to kill zaan and get helms.
So how do I proceed? We all know zos doesn't do anything about people like this, and if I dare post their name on here, I'll get shut down for naming and shaming before they even get close to giving a crap.
You just going to stand there like a lemon?

Do what everyone else with this grudge does - Go shout it out in Zone Chat for 2 solid hours and get blocked by half the community because they are sick of hearing it.

...Well, I mean, there really aren't any other options.

But in all honesty the get helms you should have to kill all bosses in the dungeon (and to get skins in trials you should have to kill all bosses not just add a few carries at the end)

Not the first time or will it be the last time this happens, and people make gold from it. Guess what, zeni doesn't care if anything they encourage it.

(Though credit where due, to get the skin you do have to kill all bosses at some stage)

I don't pug dungeons anymore. EU community is almost as bad as f2p MOBA games.

a.k.a. full of unskilled, toxic, unresponsible children.

Yes, after tanking in MMOs longer than 10 years, this is the game that made me quit playing tanks.

All you can do in your case is blocking that guy, and making sure you have a non pug group. thats it.

There's no vote if the leader wants to kick?! That's lame! It should always be a group decision.

It'd be one thing if it was a completely horrible run and everyone was an ***, but it was such a great group. Everyone was friendly, we had a few screw ups that we laughed off, and moved on from.
And I mean we have have a.... "special" kind of community, it can be elitist, and *** sometimes, but it's pretty great in general, so to have something like this happen, something that has been completely unheard of in my 3 years of eso is really *** disheartening.

If he kicks 3 members of a 4 member group, doesn't he also get removed from the dungeon? If so, you can at least get a laugh out of him also not getting a completion.

If you're saying that he kicked just you after one other dropped out, then there is not much you can do other than only run with people you know. Really, seriously, try to go find some friends to play with rather than unknown zone people. You will have a ton more fun when you no longer have to deal with things like this and can actually enjoy your runs.

Best tip, stop using "group finder" and running the "eso solo meta". Get a good guild, form your group from there.... Get dungeon done, problem solved

I get the whole "join a guild", "get a group" etc. But this is still an issue that needs more of a solution. Leaders in a dungeon don't *really* have a purpose other than having the power of kicking and queuing. At least for the most part. It should always be a group decision to kick a member to avoid circumstances like this.

I've had to do pugs when there's no-one available, if I'm up at odd hours, if I want to do a quick run etc. Organised and team dungeons are better but not always an option.

As a work around you can prevent this from happenig by insisting on starting through GF. I believe that you can't just kick players from a GF group. And if the leader refuses to do so it's a sign that something might be shady

One person dips. Lead invites new guy. New guy + lead vote out rest. Something like that usually happens.

I've only PuGed this dungeon it's a pia.

I'm actually quite dismayed so many jerks are getting the helm

Already seen a HUGE spike of it being used.

Sadly I can see how this is entirely possible for someone to do this and I wish i could say I've never see such behavior, but I have.

I've been in pugs where I ended up with crown courtesy of group finder and had someone else demand I turn it over to them.In those cases I just ignored them because I am wise to that game. Once I was in a semi-pug trial for nAA where the leader passed the crown to a friend in the group who insisted on getting crown, only to have them kick someone else right before the last boss because they had a beef with that player--used that guy for the parts that needed 12 people and then kicked him out of spite so he couldn't get a coffer. I was seriously not OK with that. So if I have crown, i don't pass it in a pug, ever. People in the game can be serious ***.

Yeah, unfortunately, people in your guilds can be *** too. I have far more experience with this than I can recount here. Sometimes the group finder is the better option.

2h to get to Zaan was your first sign of problems. Also, I puggged/ cleared both the new dungeons day one and I’m now almost finished my achievements from AF groups.

What PC desperately needs is built in voice, though. This would solve a number of group error and difficulty issues.

ZOS could fix this issue easily.

    1) Make it so every kick is a group vote or nothing, and not give one person the power to kick everybody by himself.
    2) Make it so you have to kill multiple bosses in a dungeon before you can get that helm.

The fact ZOS hasn't done anything about it yet means they either don't know about the issue, don't care, or don't want to be bothered. In case they just don't know about it, people should post these threads all the dang time until they finally notice.

It's just as bad in NA as well. It's in these forums, it's all over online. ZoS doesn't do anything about it because they need people to buy those limited mounts.

At that point then, it means you voted yes to kick the first member.
1 member drops, you have 3.
In order to get rid of you or the other player, 2 of the remaining players have to vote out the 3rd player. If you were the last one voted out, you did this to yourself.

In a group finder group, every kick is already a vote.

It takes at least 2 people to kick someone; and you are automatically removed from the instance if you aren't grouped. So someone else in the group voted to kick you and likely stayed afterward.

If you have done it through your guild, atleast they have some what of accountable for that sort of behavior. Group finder, zero accountability will keep on getting away with it.

So still stand by the "join a guild, get it done fast, proper and have a bit of fun along the way"

Plus the "kill all boss for helm" statement, 100% agree with this should go for skins as well

I've seen and heard of more spiteful behaviour in this game than any other mmo I've played to date, to the point when people say how great the ESO community is, I scratch my head. Yes, there are some nice, awesome people, but the bum-holes can leave a nasty residue. The number one thing that will turn me off a game is the community, so I agree that ZoS needs to look at combating things such as these.

Another example of the well thought out instances by ZOS. Its like they spend all their energy on cosmetics and making it look pretty and none on actually making it functional and usable. Ive come to expect that when i PUG there is a good chance it could be total crap. So if i dont feel like messing with those headaches i dont PUG.

Just tonight i had someone queue as healer on a normal dungeon, did zero heals( i thought metrics was bugged). Then the healer says " Oh i meant to queue as dps" after people died on literally the easiest dungeon in the game. i asked " you dont have any heals?" " Nope".

Yeah i know that game, they didnt want wait in queue, so queued as heals and figured someone else would carry them. But the group fell for it hook line and sinker. So i ended up healing the dungeon and it took forever because i was originally doing 60% of the dps.

You run a PUG, you are either going to laugh or cry, or both.

Your first mistake was not using the dungeon finder tool, even if you have a 4-man premade group it still works and you'll get some bonus spell damage, even if you're over level 50.
Also if you use the finder tool the leader can't kick players but only choose to initiate a vote-kick.

To be fair I had my first crack at pug dungeons last night and didn't realise you had to select your role before joining a queue so my paper mache warden defaulted to tank which didn't go down well with the group that picked me up. At least I know now for future reference!
