JimmyJuJu✭✭✭✭3000 hours, 2 dust drops. The first one was within my first weeks, before I committed to ESO+. Had no idea what it and didn't know about guild traders so I sold it to a common trader - for 9 gold, I think.

Armatesz✭✭✭✭✭Since playing on xbox na I have gotten aetherial dust in non dlc zones only. You can get them from nodes or containers (not chests far as I know) so hope this info helps.Ärmätèsz

I used to get a dust about every 2 million in raws I sold. I've sold about 9 million gold worth since my last one. I'm starting to wonder if they don't drop any more!

seriously, i've been playing steadily since well before they introduced the dust to the game, and I've never gotten a single one, but that doesn't stop me from looking hopefully at my inventory every so often to see if i got one <g>

I farm pretty much every node I see, I have been playing daily for like three years, and I have found 1 ever...and I only got that about two months ago.

Hisa Ni Caemaire - Altmer Sorceress, member of the Order Draconis and Adept of the House of Dibella.
Broken Branch Toothmaul - goblin (for my goblin characters, I use either orsimer or bosmer templates) Templar, member of the Order Draconis and persistently unskilled pickpocket
Mol gro Durga - Orsimer Socerer/Battlemage who died the first time when the Nibenay Valley chapterhouse of the Order Draconis was destroyed, then went back to Cold Harbor to rescue his second/partner who was still captive. He overestimated his resistance to the hopelessness of Oblivion, about to give up, and looked up to see the golden glow of atherius surrounding a beautiful young woman who extended her hand to him and said "I can help you". He carried Fianna Kingsley out of Cold Harbor on his shoulder. He carried Alvard Stower under one arm. He also irritated the Prophet who had intended the portal for only Mol and Lyris.***Order Draconis - well c'mon there has to be some explanation for all those dragon tattoos.
House of Dibella - If you have ever seen or read "Memoirs of a Geisha" that's just the beginning...
Nibenay Valley Chapterhouse - Where now stands only desolate ground and a dolmen there once was a thriving community supporting one of the major chapterhouses of the Order Draconis0 -

Those as are more accurate than my (non-existent) accounts.
I get one every two-three months. Usually just after I think 'I haven't seen any dust lately'. Seriously.
I put my success rate down to using the combine harvester when I farm. That is, I take every thing from every node and leave nothing behind. I think the variation in what I collect affects the drop rates. Just from passive observation, with no statistical evidence to support that.
Not sure what the big deal is here. The dust has lost it's value and I can't make a profit from making the ambrosia from it.

✭Ever since i first looted my first Aetherial Dust, i've made a map with all 7 locations from where i have looted them.
Most recent one was a few weeks ago. All 7 were looted from Survey Map nodes
