Do you think Summerset Isles will come out this year?

Yes more then likely it will be released this year.
From the *in-game hints/teasers *in Morrowind and CWC, to the massive datamines that outright tell us it’s the next chapter..... yes it’s coming this year lol. Q2 2018

I'm confident Summerset will be the next chapter but I am not expecting Summerset, Psijic Order Skill line, and Artaeum at the same time. I am also unsure if they'll repeat the schedule of 2 dungeons in Q1, chapter in Q2, 2 dungeons Q3, and a dlc zone in q4.

Thieve's Guild DLC came with a quest line, skill line and Hew's Bane zone.
Dark Brotherhood DLC came with a quest line, skill line and Gold Coast zone.

I think it's possible there will be a separate Psijic Order DLC with a quest line, a skill line, and the Artaeum zone at some point this year.

We'll have to wait and see.

All evidence in the previous DLC points to our next destination being Summerset, and ZOS is going to release a Chapter every single year as scheduled.

At this point, why have Summerset Isles. It will be like everything else ZOS releases riddled with bugs and performance issues. Better to fix what is wrong with the game first before adding more to it.

Yes. ZOS confirmed that a new chapter will come out every Q2, and we've datamined Summerset, which confirms it as the next Chapter coming out in Q2 of this year.

They didn't do this when content releases were rare (the time after official launch until they eventually released the incredibly delayed Imperial City DLC), so why should it be different now? New content is important. They have enough time between content releases to fix sh*t but they seem to be either incapable or unwilling to do so.

Here's a novel response. I don't care -- especially after Morrowind. There is absolutely nothing special about Morrowind and they charged full price for it without packaging it with the much older - and better - DLC content. There is absolutely no reason why the first 3 PvE DLCs are not included with Morrowind. I think it would increase sales to do so versus hurt the game. Because what will always matter is the new and fresh content. And there are other things that should happen:

Craft bag access for everyone. Let's be grown ups about it. The incentive to subscribe should be the additional content and not the craft bag. I'm willing to bet most subscriptions at this point is due to craft bag access. At this point, I can't really imagine myself playing without it and I'm not subscribing forever and neither will a vast majority of players. Micromanaging inventory in 2018 is ridiculous.

Account wide mount training. I have 8 character slots and no desire to delete any of them because I would have to start mount training all over again. There is absolutely no incentive to try anything new because it is far more punishing than rewarding to do so. It's a 180-day (6 month) login mechanic which inflates the numbers of their actual player base.

With the advent of the new outfit system that drops the requirement for each character to know the motif in order to use it, we should also make traits researched account wide too. Quite frankly anything that is "redundant", such as crafting skills, should be applied account wide. We should be encouraged to delete and create new characters at a whim --- not punished. I promise you. It wouldn't cut into sales of additional character slots. You will always have those people that will purchase every slot they can get. But for the rest of us, the thought of training a new mount and researching traits (even if it's just the ones that matter to you) again is just not rewarding at all.

    1. ESO is a modular experience, it's how they market it... and it's how it will be continued to be marketed. Though I agree I found Morrowind to feel a tad empty, it doesn't divulge from their sales plan.

    2. No. I'm happy to subscribe, but not for the 10% XP boost and costume dying features alone. The game is playable without the craft bag, but with it I feel more valued as a subscriber. If anything, i'd like if they add more ESO-plus features like this.

    3. No. Just because you decided to invest in 8 characters, doesn't mean the game should be shaken down to accommodate to altoholics. I've wanted account-wide achievements forever, but I see and understand why it won't happen. Never forget the human psyche, 'when we complete what we desire to accomplish, we pack up and move on'. Rushing it all might not be the satisfaction you are looking for.

    4. For having eight alts, you clearly don't play them. No, you do not need to know each motif on each character for the outfit system. The visuals are accountwide.

Conclusion: 90% certain if they did half of the mad crazy things you just bellowed for, you'd be shortly after writing a brand new list of why you don't like it.

    On track with the topic...

I'd love a March announcement at the very least, Summerset and its features should be a breath of fresh air. Hopefully not a class, but instead a skill line and with luck a new form of crafting soon. Right now, i'd settle for that announcement, happy to wait for the release details later.
