How do we hide our helmet now?

Before we could hide our helmet. Now I can't do it. How come I can't do it now? I am going to my options and checking everything on the Xbox One but can't seem to find it no more. I see something about hiding custom helmet or what ever it's called. Has this replaced hiding our regular helmets now?

Thanks, collections. So is that the only way to do it now? We can't hide regular helmets? I am only level 8 right now. Still don't know how to play ESO very well but having a blast. Just like to hide the helmet at the moment and don't have a clue what to do.

You can also add the 'hide helm' option to your quickslot now too- just like you'd add a costume or hat.

How do I do that? I am on Xbox not sure if that is different from PC or not.

Collections, Appearance, Hats, Hide your Helm which can be quickslotted. This will work for equipped gear, costumes, and outfits. (There seems to be a bug here on PS4 with outfit Helms)

If you use a Polymorph, its Setting, Gameplay, Hide Polymorph Helm

You cannot hide Helms on disguises anymore, this is working as intended.

No I am not. I am on NA server. My name was already taken so I couldn't use it in ESO sadly. Offer is greatly appreciated though. :)

    Hi @Davor,

Multiple people have noted how to hide your helmet with the Outfit update, but I wanted to come in and also link to our support article on this subject in case anyone else comes here looking for the full answer. This article also includes how to hide the Polymorph helmets that are able to be hidden as well.

You can find the support article here.

I don't see why one single toggle in the Options menu had to be split into three different places. Having one toggle is much easier to understand than having different toggles in different places for polymorphs, gear and costumes. You either want your helmet hidden or you don't; it doesn't matter where the helmet came from.

@ZOS_Edward , apparently this option does not work for Disguises. Ive been unable to hide helms for disguises that have them, with or without the momento or polymorph option.

You can't hide helmets on disguises anymore. That is working as intended. (It also tells you that in the support article he linked.)

IMO removing the option to hide helmets on disguises is a bad idea. Yes they were meant to be temporary and tied to the quests they are acquired in, but they became fashionable and some even became favorites.

But now we're forced to look at those dumb helmets/hats on those costumes? May we ask why disguises were removed from the hide helmet system? Can it be reinstated?

If I want to dress like a mercenary, the dark leather armor of the Veiled Heritance looks awesome. But the helmet feels out of place sometimes. If I felt like wearing an Imperial Legion disguise because it fits a character's RP theme (and it looks better than crafted armor of the imperial style), I'd like to be able to run around without wearing that flamboyant roman-looking helmet.

Can the option to hide disguise helmets be reinstated, please?

I think that not being able to remove helms from disguises makes perfect sense. There was always something strange about my Dunmer wandering around an camp of Nord Bandits or Imperial Legionnaires with her helmet off and absolutely no one seeming bothered one wit by the new obviously Dunmer recruit.

I would prefer they finally get around to doing what we've been asking them to do for years, and add costume versions of disguises in the quest rewards once the quest is over. Then the disguise item can function like a disguise as intended, but the costume exists for anyone who wants to retain the look.

It probably has something to do with the fact that ZOS is considering adding more hide slot options for the Outfit system. No idea if they'll actually go through with doing this, though.
