Argonians, head gear, and body markings!

Okay Bethesda/Zenimax(Did you in Alphabetical order) I've got one MAJOR issue with the Elder Scrolls games when it comes to Argonians.

HEADGEAR AND HORNS! You're going to tell me, that a race with horns like a dragon never thought to leave holes in their hoods, hats and helms for their horns to go through? Seriously? Are we for real here? How come you have NEVER addressed this?

Next is my issue with Argonians and "body markings." Now for those of you who are not Argonian players and confused. When you apply something like the Pact Warrior Tattoo to an Argonian, it reverts the Argonian to it's base scale design, which is basically bumpy skin, removing the scales you chose for your Argonian to have. Now I'm aware that scale patterns are listed as "body markings" in character creation for Argonians. So the simple fix for this is for "body markings" like the Alliance body tattoos, is to change them from the game reading them as body markings, to their own catagory, called...... hmm. .... Tattoos? Or as a second options, we could divide body markings into two separate layers. Skin/scales/fur being Body_Marking_1, and tattoos being Body_Marking_2

Below is the issue above.

It's an MMO, not a single player. They can't create a piece of armor for every single unique adornment already in the game and all the ones to come in the future.

Any markings placed on scales would be lost due to routine shedding of the scales. You couldn't be able to see a sub-dermal tattoo through the scales, so the only way to do it is to do it as the game does; remove the scales and permanently mark the base skin.

Henna Ink. Just saying brah. It's kind of the same issue with Anthropomorphic creatures(Furries for those of you without a vocabulary) having strange or unusual markings on fur and or scales.

Also, why the bloody hell are you trying to apply real life logic to a game where one of the biggest sources of strength is MAGIC. You're going to sit there and literally tell me, there's no way to magically mark scales, so that the markings persist? Also, with all the back checking, I've done, I've yet to find any hard lore that sticks, that shows Argonians ever shed their skins. Also, on that subject, Since their base skin is still a form of scales, though not the normal type you'd see on dragons, snakes and some breed of lizards, such as the ones I chose at creation, wouldn't the same issue still apply to the "base line" scale skin shown in the picture with the markings?

But if it makes you feel more at ease, I will amend my suggestion to have a second route to go with this. *rolls eyes*

“Bumpy skin” might be ok-ish. Argonians without a scale pattern look more like “shaven scrote” to me. It’s annoying.

The dremora tattoo on Khajiit tail looks pretty stylish and doesn't brake the basic dark skin colour :)

My Argonian however suffers from tattooe applied, which I'd like to be changed.

Head Markings don't remove scales, but body ones do. This doesn't make sense! I also hate when some hoods remove my little rhino horns, even tho there are few that don't affect them at all. This is not something that Zenimax can't fix. It's like removing your bear when you wear helmet.

Yeah I noticed this too. Also, apparently, certain costumes, like the Merchant Lord costume for the Thieve's Guild quest line, revert you to your original skin. So say, you're a black fured Khajiit, who became a vampire, you turn back to your normal black fur.

A lot of head gear doesn't fit Argonian or Khajiit correctly (clipping).

Also, if no one else has noticed, one of the last costumes in the shop (Egg Tender ~ supposedly Argonian?) doesn't actually fit on Argonians xD

Awesome job, art dept! My girls skirt does not cover her backside! *facepalm*

Unfortunately this is sort of an issue with several things, taking up the same "slot" Like...

head "Adornments" you can't have facial hair and jewellery? (The crown ones are getting better at this though)

Markings(head or otherwise) You can't have tattoos and scars?

    It's very strange.

Well jeez.... I totally misunderstood this thread's title. I thought for sure you were selling leather helmets. Needed one to go with my leather backpack and leather boots.

The things that really bug me is not the horn, it's the tail. I just can't find an outfit for Argonian that the tail doesn't look like a bad clipping.

Exactly what I'm thinking every time, I got a nice face-/body-tattoo: face don't remove snake-scales, body does.
Damn! I so much like to get a nice tattoo on my argonian lady!

    Finally someone adressing this.

I get the whole ok we remove horn when putting on hood things, it's just way to much work for every hornstyle etc.

But why do some hoods remove my little spikes on the nose which cleary should show when wearing a hood, some do show some don't it's just lazy...

And for the tattoo part. 100% agreed I have never used any tattoos on argonians because i don't want my char to look "naked" without his scales.

Not super obvious in the image but this is true of the psijiic tail tattoo and it sort of glows in the dark.
