Most of the issues you specifically call out here have been addressed in the last two patches.rickard_karstarck wrote: »Every update the game client performs even more poorly. The most recent update literally broke weapon swapping, and is actually a bug that has existed in the main client for years.
After 2 weeks, they still don't have it fixed, and for sure that bug will exist on the console update next week.
Patch 3.3.6 on February 18th had a fix for the major weapon-swap issue in it, while also noting any continuing issues that we were aware of at the time. This came 1 week after the 3.3.5 patch as that was the timing for the incremental update after that major Patch.rickard_karstarck wrote: »64-bit client hasn't improved the performance at all, still tons of infinite load screens and constant memory leaks.
Patch 3.3.5 on February 11th had a fix for loading screen times and specifically called out we were continuing to work on some issues related to grouping. Also, the 32-bit client was retired meaning advancements for PC performance going forward are fully-focused on the 64-bit client.
Patch 3.3.6 on February 18th had another additional fix for loading screen times specifically targeted at two zones that were still seeing issues after the previous Patch.
We will continue to review the issues faced by the community when it comes to performance and address them as quickly as we can.
Could you pretty please explain me why in Deshaan, if I go from enchanter shop to blacksmith (like 10 seconds worth of travel) I get 1 loading screen?
And then I go from blacksmith (doing my daily crafting quests) to the tavern, I get ANOTHER loading screen right before the tavern?
This is really embarassing!

It's not use the above examples, it's loads of little things, like vMA slowing after a few rounds, and the recent Eldon Root thing where you run up to the pledge givers and it 'chunks' just before the chests. By 'chunk' I mean a mounted character is stationary galloping for a few seconds, presumably until the next area loads. I thought it was just me, then saw it happen to my girlfriend too yesterday.
They have "fixed" the loading screen issue multiple times, it has gotten better, but it seems they can't manage to nail it down completely.
By comparison, this is the kind of thing people had to randomly deal with back 2015/16 before the first time they "fixed" the loading screens.

I honestly worry that these core issues can never be fixed, since the developers left at the company are the worst ones, not the best ones.
And of course the data mining shows even bigger updates coming, while infinite load screens and even weapon swap bug will just continue being pushed to the back burner.
We've had the game for almost 4 years, and still the sound effects don't even properly play, literally every update says fixes for sounds, yet they never work....
