Stop Nerfs - Ask For Buffs

Every patch brings along with it nerf and more nerfs. Nerf to classes, skills, armor sets, mechanics, etc.

There's a sense of fear and excitement whenever patches come along. Excited that new content is coming. Fear because your class and your playstyle gets weaker and weaker with each patch because you've found a way to be competitive, not even overpowered.

How about buffing to balance out the classes instead of nerfs?

Congrats. You fixed the game. No one thought of that before.

All sarcasm aside, that causes power creep as new sets are introduced which bring one spec above the rest, then everything needs to get rebuffed. One easy way for more balance would be to change CP to be more of the top 10/30/75/120 passives, then we don't get a power creep that ends up in a nerf, but we get a higher skill cap for those who can use the "active" passives to change up their playstyle and get better.

what exactly they nerfed now? i would say that dps should be higher. Synergies not on gcd, off balance heavy attack restore double resources, 10 more champion points in each constellation. If u talk about block cost, it actually got smaller, from 2.1k to 1.7k, so another buff.

there are many things that needed buffing yes, and many things that still need nerfs yes, even tho they don't look at this kind of things or do anything about them. But this doesn't mean that balance and buffing went 2% up.

Just buffing things could break the game than nerfing this.I hate patches because they always break 7 billion things when they release a patch.

Let’s nerf threads the nerf nerf threads, and buff the nerf buff threads.

When you buff a whole bunch of player classes skills and gear, you raise the power level, making content easier in comparison. So then you have to buff the content to keep pace. Then players want more buffs, and you start an arms race between players and content that leaves your dev team exhausted (or you give up and quit buffing old content and then the old content is a pushover for experienced players while newer, harder content is out of reach of most players).

Is it really any wonder why ZOS hands out more nerfs than buffs these days?

It's better to tweak things than simply nerfing or buffing.

Pulling a little power out of one aspect, but giving it back elsewhere in order to make the game feel better to play.

Though there will always be things that are over and underperforming and those are the things that need slightly more tweaking.

Right word is Balance, not nerf or buff, but adjust.
Your words "stop nerf" are like to say "lets park our cars only with forward moving, stop reverse".
    Emotional sloganю
Adjust is nerf of overpowered things, and buff of underpow. Depend on what whole system needs (if zenimax team understand them/)

buff ganking...seriously - I haven't been ganked in ages (actually, it may have only been a couple of days ago)...

i remember back in the day always wondering, as I was riding around cyrodiil, whether or not someone would try to ambush me...

now I have to hang out outside the front doors of keeps and outposts playing a lute, dancing, or drinking just to entice some stealthed up nightblade to try to kill me...

Except that ZOS tend to go over the board with "adjustments". They take away and never add things back to compensate for taking away or to create a balanced environment. Resulting only in more imbalances.

The difference is semantics. Nerfs aren't worse than buffs.

Surely in relative terms, a nerf to one thing can be viewed as a buff to every single other thing in the game.

So really, one nerf is equivalent to thousands of buffs.

OP, do you really want to give up all those buffs?

The idea of stop nerfs and only buff is just so ill thought out in practical terms.

It must come from 1st time gamers or children, either of which unable to think past one move in a chess game.

Stop with this ridiculously stupid notion please.

This idea would only work in the perfect NRA utopia where everyone carries guns and no one ever gets shot...

This is why I'm an advocate against sets... Maybe, just maybe we could get some game homeostasis if the baseline rules would quit changing.
