The beast races of ESO are not for everyone, I can see that - but to force them into a more humanoid look is silly - bad enough that female khajiit and argonians have breasts - what makes absolutely no sense at all. Just let these races be how they are.

In fact, Khajiit were basically hairy humans with a tail in the first two ES games. And Bethesda/ZoS have been forcing them into a more animal look (using their anthropomorphic animal species).
I would play a khajiit if they have kept using that kind of humanoid design. I rather have a thundercat than a furry.
OP talks about an option to hide the tail, so all those that want an Argonioan with a tail, simple don't hide it. I support such an option. Both animal races are represented by human bodies, an animal head and a tail. Tha tail looks very unnatural. I remember Morrowind the game. Argonians and Khajit did have animal like feet and looked much better.

The era where the demi-gods of the Dunmer are so useless that their lands are in utter chaos. The era where slaves are heavily mistreated and that is a way of life for most Dunmer houses. The era where Dunmer are so reckless with their treatment of slaves, it leads to the Argonian uprising centuries later that destroys all their cities, decimates their culture and leaves nearly the entirety Dunmer race homeless. Sins of their fathers indeed.
