The reason we can't have great sommunity events is due to this kind of behavior turning players off. Because it's not about them, it's about hype for you.

We didnt gain anything for this. I dont think you understand how much work we put into getting the community together for a fun event. We were promoting the WINNER by listing his name in chat. It was all about promoting the winner, and giving him some hype. This was all about the community and doing a live event in game, which has never been done before. We never mentioned our guild/or promoted anything but the winner. Im sorry you were put off by someone else winning something fantastic, but you are misconstruing this.

Forget people like that Sylvie and Shimmer; the contest was freakin awesome, the prizes were amazing, and I had so much fun! The people who were there and participated really enjoyed it and appreciated all the hard work you guys put in to the event.

So as one of the winners (albeit at the lowest tier)...how are the prizes being given out? I currently have influenza and was unable to stay for the entire tournament (it was a challenge for me to stay online in a single stretch for the several hours of the first couple of rounds, as it was). So I wasn't present at the end to hear any announcements.

Gold prizes are coming from @sylviermoone . I emailed @ZOS_JessicaFolsom with the list of winners for the chub loons, crown packs, and grand topal and she said they will be delivered Monday!!!

Hey, @Kiyakotari!

I mailed all gold prizes (aside from the 1 Mil prizes which were handed out in person last night) as of this morning!!

Additionally, the decision was made to mail the 10K buy-ins back to those people that were eliminated in the first round. So, at the very least, not one person paid to take part in the contest, and 6 more people than we originally announced got 50K prizes!!

Thanks again to everyone that participated, and to ZOS for supplying the crown store prizes. It was a ton of fun!!

This kinda thing is just epic, restores my faith in the community.

I'd love to see more like it races, parkour, dueling etc!! Mote gambling in inns etc would be sweet. Bare kuckle boxing etc!!
