WHAT IS THIS THING ANYWAYS?

This is a EPIC BATTLE TO THE DEATH!!!!! Get your fists ready. Server wide championship to crown the next Soulgem Parchment Clippers Champion!
The Event will take place 2/16/18 at 9PM EST the Hammerdeath Arena in Stormhaven
This is a single elimination tournament, with each round won by the person who throws the best 2 out of 3.
Should we have a MASSIVE amount of people interested, additional rounds will be added as necessary Saturday, Feb 17 2PM-6PM Eastern and Sunday, 2PM-6PM Eastern

COOL! How do I Enter?

Entry is simple. There is a 10k buy in to participate. Mail your 10K to @sylviermoone or @ShimmerVids. Entries will be logged at tinyurl.com/esospcbattle. At 8PM Eastern on February 16, the list of entrants will be randomized, and brackets will be created based on that list. Please include your timezone in the in game mail entry We will do our best to accommodate you. Only one entry per account.
It is our goal, for your sanity and ours, to have as much of this done PRIOR to the tournament as possible. We will be able to accept buy-ins on site between 8PM and 9PM Eastern, but those choosing this option will be placed at the end of the preliminary bracket.

You will of course need the Soulgem Parchment Clippers emote in order to participate. So what are you waiting for? Go get it from the crown store and start warming up your hand muscles!
We've developed an addon to assist with the tournament. While you DON'T HAVE TO HAVE IT to participate, it makes competing AND judging significantly easier. Please check it out ON ESOUI, and consider giving it a go! (I will post a video here soon showing the addon in action!)

YES! WE SAID EPIC PRIZES!!! We arent supplying run of the mill prizes for this event. We went ALL OUT in order to provide the most OUTSTANDING experience you have ever had in game! Here is the list of prizes!

1st PLACE - THE ULTIMATE SOULGEM PARCHMENT CLIPPERS CHAMPION! - you will not go home empty handed. Armed now with not only bragging rights and street cred, you will also receive:
GRAND TOPAL HIDEAWAY!!!!!

Thats right! As champion, you can flex those soulgem parchment clipper muscles on the terrace of your cottage on your VERY OWN ISLAND! AND IF THATS NOT ENOUGH - You are
also getting 1 million to spend on furniture for your new home! (I suggest a boat) This home has only been released one time for a limited time, so you will join the elite!
2nd Place- Congrats!! You mostly didn't completely lose. 1 million gold for you!
3rd AND 4th PLACE SEMI-FINAL LOSER PRIZES - As the first official semi-final losers of this championship - you will go home with 250,000 gold and a 1500 crown pack EACH!
4th-8th PLACE LOSERS - Awww....you peaked too soon. You get 125K and a Chub Loon EACH!
In the event that the buy-ins exceed the amount of gold being given out as prizes, we will split the extra between the first and second place winners 75%/25%. Angry Unicorn Traders will not make any profit from this competition, but will guarantee up to 3 Million Gold for prizes.

ok. it is a rock paper scissors tournament. I struggle to see how that isn't made clear in the OP. watch the video. the emote is very clear there, as well.

Just to clarify. The sponsoring guilds and individuals (Differently Geared, ShimmerVids, Angry Unicorns, Philgo - creator of the Master Merchant addon) are donating the 3 Million in Gold Prizes. If the entries are higher than expected, all additional gold is split by first and second place winners.

Nothing goes to the sponsors.

All entries are public as will be the winner brackets and challenges will also be streamed live.

Last I checked rock paper scissors would be RPS. How the $%&^ would I know what SPC stands for from reading the post?

The optional add-on works while grouped. One person uses an emote to prompt a countdown. Each player enters their choice. Only after both choices are entered does it play the emotes for both players and announce the winner. Shimmer will add a video here in a few which demonstrates it.

Hi, everyone!!

We've put this tournament together because we think it will be fun, and we hope you do, too! We've been planning it since the Soul Gem, Parchment, Scissors emotes were announced.

This is not a sweepstakes, it is a tournament. You will need to have purchased the emotes to participate, because, well....you can't rightly play rock, paper, scissors without the correct emotes, amirite? We're INCREDIBLY thankful that ZOS thought it was a cool idea and allowed us to offer the crown store prizes that we are.

No one is making a profit from this. It will take 300 participants to break even, and if there are MORE than that, the remaining gold will be split between the Grand Prize winner and the runner-up. If there are less than 300 participants, well...AUT is still going to put out 3 million gold in prizes.

Please check out the website (autguild.life/esospcbattle); we've tried to answer as many questions as we could there. You'll also find a link to the public spreadsheet on which we'll be tracking all gold received and publish the brackets. Additionally, we'll have 3 separate live streams going during the tournament (at least).

In short, we're doing this because it's FUN. If you think it would be fun, we hope you'll join us! If that doesn't sound like fun, we hope you find something to do more up your alley!

Conspiracy theorist in me would say that ZoS migh have it's fingers in it and they are actually donating it for the event, since event itself is promoting ppl spending crowns just to participate...
...but then again, i might be watching to much of David Icke lately.

I think it went something like.....

Shimmer: "Sylvie, did you see the new emotes?!?" "OMG, OMG, OMG"
Sylviermoone: "OMG, YES!!!!!" We HAVE to get them.
Shimmer and Sylviermoone about the same time: "BIG TOURNAMENT!?!?"

If you've ever been in a discord channel with two very excited women, you know the rest is mostly a blur.

.... it went from personal battle, to guild wide, to server wide in about 10 seconds.
.... the video was planned about 5 seconds later.
.... ZOS was only asked as an afterthought (since it became server wide) to provide some additional prizes. Trust me, this is about two very excited gamers wanting to share some fun with the community.

I learned a long time ago to get on board or get out of their way, lol.
