[PVP] Best all-around crafted stamina DPS sets?

So, I have three stamina DPS PvE characters (a stamden, a stamblade, and a stamsorc) that need their Vigor and Caltrops. Which means a trip to Cyrodiil for them. However, I also happen to play and enjoy PvP, so I don't really just want to zerg surf or repair my way to glory - I'd like to actually have decent enough gear that I can participate meaningfully in PvP. Problem is, all three of my PvP characters are magicka builds, so I don't really know what kind of gear I should be looking for for stamina DPS.

Specifically, I'm looking for all-around crafted gear OR BoE gear that's easy to farm or buy. These characters aren't going to go to Cyrodiil all that often, so I'm not really interested in farming for BiS PVP gear - I just want reasonably good gear. I'd also ideally like to find a set or two that can work well for all of them, so I can minimize the amount of upgrading mats I spend getting them PvP ready.

Thoughts? Ideas? Suggestions?

Since they won’t be specializing (ie, a bow gank build or poison melee build) you can probably keep it simple and run Hundings rage and spriggans. Or any decent stam drop set, really - Briarheart, bone pirate...seventh legion if you want to tank up a bit.

Hundings is a good set to invest in...it works everywhere. So I might recommend making your weapons Hundings. You might want gold weapons, but you might stick to purple armor for what you’re using it for.

Bone pirates and hundings rage is probably the most basic of basic stam setups. Bone pirates can be easy to farm but sometimes it takes for ever. But it’s the best stamina sustain set. But being able to really contend in PvP isn’t really one of those things where you just slap on some decent gear, learn your rotation and do ok. It takes a looong time to get good at it. It’s totally different from PvE in every way. You also have to decide if you’re going medium or heavy, if your going to play a dw or 2h, Sb or bow, if you’re going to play solo then your setup is different from group play. I applaud that you want to actually PvP, we need more like you, but I’d highly suggest you focus on one toon for PvP to start and cheese the other two with whatever gear even PvE gear (for now just to get the skills). Stam Warden is the meta in PvP right now, it feels like half of cyrodiil plays one. They have so many buffs on hand, and have the ability to be tanky and damaging more than any other class. Stamina NB is always popular, you can choose to go as a stealth/gank build or a brawler build. Stamina sorc is not played by many anymore. They have a few die hard fans (such as myself), and they can still be viable, but compared to NBs, wardens and Templars they just don’t have anywhere near the utility or access to class damage skills.

To reiterate, I do already play PvP regularly. I'm familiar with how Cyrodiil plays in large groups, small groups, and solo, and I'm even used to fighting in terribly lopsided fights, courtesy of my main PvP toon being AD Vivec. It's just that I'm used to magicka PvP builds, not stamina builds.

That said, good suggestions both of you, thanks. Hunding's is looking appealing right now, because I already have gold Hunding weapons from PvE that are traited appropriately provided I'm not running Nirn, and I'm not planning on it. And I do have some Bone Pirate and 7th Legion stuff just sitting around in my bank... hmmm... (Spriggan's and Briarheart, too, but only in PvE traits and I don't have that many transmute crystals, lol.)

I am slightly amused that the answer seems to be, as always, Hundings and Spriggans. Those two sets are just so ridiculously versatile. Makes me nervous that someday they'll get nerfed.

Follow up: Monster sets? Kra'gh? Velidreth? Something else entirely? Worth bothering, or should I go for two 5-piece sets instead?

Shacklebreaker works for all three of your stam toons, given the utility of their magicka skills, combo that with something like Unfathomable Darkness which is stupidly cheap right now (less than 500 for purple jewellery and weapons for less than 10k)
Lord and Savior of the Association of Serious S***posters.

I play a character called "Gives Me Wood Elf" because I am a mature and sensible person.

Huh. I hadn't even thought of Unfathomable Darkness, because you're right: it's stupidly cheap right now. So cheap that I often don't even bother selling it. I guess that WOULD be more practical in PvP than in PvE. Good idea... and also, good point regarding Shacklebreaker.
