ZOS decided to lower the damage of (almost) all the gap-closers in the game on the PTS."Pounce", werewolfs only gap-closer, was included with this nerf which for me is really weird. Let me tell you why I think so:
* The cost of the skill makes it impossible to spam
One of the issue with gap-closers is that people can spam them with little to no penalty (aside from sorcerers using streak, if you now want to call streak a gap-closer). If we compare the costs of different stamina gap-closers:
- Critical Charge = 3780 stamina
- Shield Charge = 3780 stamina
- Ambush: 3442 stamina
- Pounce = 4050 stamina
I don´t see anyone spamming a 4k gap-closer, so unless you want to run out of resources, you need to pick the right time/target to use pounce on.
* There´s no snare attached to pounce and the damage from the ability is mediocre
The damage from pounce is not game-breaking. The only extra feature pounce has, is that you stun enemies that are already off-balanced. But the skill got no extra snares attached to it (which is another big complain about certain gap-closers) and can be dodged as far as I know.
In my opinion pounce work as a gap-closer should work. High cost so it´s not spammable (even though WW´s could use a cost-reduction of their skills, but that´s another topic), no extra effects like snares attached to it and not too high damage. It does what it should do: Close the gap between you and your enemy, and that´s it. So why include it in the nerfs?
Leave "Pounce" out of the gap-closer nerfs. Werewolfs in particular doesn´t need nerfs.
While we´re at it, is there any plans of fixing the "Unchained" passive
@ZOS_GinaBruno ? At the moment this passive doesn´t work in werewolf form, and as far as I know it, it has been like this for a very long time.
