Revert the damage nerf to werewolf pounce

ZOS decided to lower the damage of (almost) all the gap-closers in the game on the PTS."Pounce", werewolfs only gap-closer, was included with this nerf which for me is really weird. Let me tell you why I think so:

* The cost of the skill makes it impossible to spam
One of the issue with gap-closers is that people can spam them with little to no penalty (aside from sorcerers using streak, if you now want to call streak a gap-closer). If we compare the costs of different stamina gap-closers:
- Critical Charge = 3780 stamina
- Shield Charge = 3780 stamina
- Ambush: 3442 stamina
- Pounce = 4050 stamina

I don´t see anyone spamming a 4k gap-closer, so unless you want to run out of resources, you need to pick the right time/target to use pounce on.

* There´s no snare attached to pounce and the damage from the ability is mediocre
The damage from pounce is not game-breaking. The only extra feature pounce has, is that you stun enemies that are already off-balanced. But the skill got no extra snares attached to it (which is another big complain about certain gap-closers) and can be dodged as far as I know.

In my opinion pounce work as a gap-closer should work. High cost so it´s not spammable (even though WW´s could use a cost-reduction of their skills, but that´s another topic), no extra effects like snares attached to it and not too high damage. It does what it should do: Close the gap between you and your enemy, and that´s it. So why include it in the nerfs?

Leave "Pounce" out of the gap-closer nerfs. Werewolfs in particular doesn´t need nerfs.

While we´re at it, is there any plans of fixing the "Unchained" passive @ZOS_GinaBruno ? At the moment this passive doesn´t work in werewolf form, and as far as I know it, it has been like this for a very long time.

The 1,5k extra damage from Brutal pounce is not worth it over extra time in WW-form.

If i remember right brutal pounce does not do any more damage than the other morph. It just splits the damage in half - the first half is applied only to the target, the second half to the target and those around him.

    So feral = 2000 single-target damage, brutal = 1000 single-target damage and 1000 AOE-damage.

Just looked it up and you´re correct. Will edit original thread.

Honestly, WW pounce is probably the only balanced gap closer in the game.

It's got a minimal range, costs a ton for crap damage, no secondary effect (outside the off balanced KD, which is a morph option). If anything, it should be the standard of all gap closers.

I found a WW last night in my group B) so happy .
I rarely play with WW , at least 3 months lol

What I see you guys nerf the global gap closer skills suddenly in the coming patch , tbh it's very important to WW , they have 5 skills only LOL !

Data tells truth , ZOS buffs WW or not , your call .

I agree. The gapcloser is fine and werewolves need help. Revert the change.

Yeah this pisses me off beyond all reason, mainly because not only did they nerf us, they did nothing else to fix our bugs or anything, nothing to make up for it, just a mindless nerf for something people already laugh at and hardly use unless they're a hardcore werewolf lover.
    Hoping for more playable races

I wish werewolf was stronger. Id like to make a build completely centered around it.

Im a hardcore Ww lover, I've centered my build around it(stamblade), apart from stamblades people usually stop laughing after 10 seconds of fighting me ^^

Pounce didn't need the nerf, it just got thrown under the bus with the other gap closers

So we had a PvP guild event where we all went in to Cyrodiil on werewolf characters... and Man... this was my first time playing WW in this game and i was left thoroughly under-whelmed.

Quite frankly, the ultimate just costs way too much to transform for the time allotted even with feeding. I was wearing a whole 5 piece set dedicated to reducing the cost of my transformation and it was still around like 240 which I felt was outrageous. Yeah when our group was together and all transformed we could maul people with overwhelming numbers but many times not all members had wolf-form at the same time due to how long it takes to charge it. We should be able to generate ultimate in wolf form or reduce the cost of it because I can never see myself using it in PvP again unless we do another event with the guild for fun.

And don't even get me started about how bad they would be in PvE...

I was using the ult on my back-bar for stamina regen and my bar didn't swap due to latency at one point during a boss fight during a vet pug dungeon run for a pledge and everyone in the group started laughing at me and I had to explain myself that I was only using it as a back-bar ult for the extra stam-regen and that I hit it by accident.

Would be cool if they were better. I actually had fun playing as one in Cyrodiil but you must give me a reason to do so. Nerfing the damage to Pounce is not that!

Wearing the salvation set, the cost of the ultimate is 201 (on a non-sorc). If you see 240, it probably means your WW ultimate is not at rank 4 yet (the cost goes down with each rank).

It was not yet moprhed but I think I had it at rank 3 of the unmorphed version.
