If ZOS made an announcement that they were postponing all new content creation and taking an active approach in optimizing the entire game, I would keep my sub and actively buy crowns to show my support. It's a fantastic and well crafted game... until you get to performance.

I haven't read all 10 pages of this thread, but I suspect the general consensus is that they'll never do this.

The people making the new content have nothing to do with optimization...

Maybe they should? Get a few more hands on deck

That's like saying a Formula 1 racer pilot should grab the tools and repair the car's engine. It's almost sure that he simply couldn't do it, although his job is very important for the racing team.

If we are RP this scenario, the pit crew has been on break and hasnt been doing anything for the last 4 years so the driver has an impossible task of racing, let alone winning anything. Why every race the car starts but just breaks down on the first lap. Rather than fixing it just limp it around that race broken an slap on some polish for the next race

Well, thats axtually quite a good poll this time. Obviously this game could be probably the best mmorog out there if the actual goals from the developer would be changed in a direction to deliver quality over quantity.

Taking there time in development and hire more staff which will be used for the day one problems of the game and those which was installed with every dlc or chapter or patch whatsoever.

I acutally thought this could be a good year as early this year it looked like they would hear out the community more and taking things more seriously, but time told a different story for me so far.

I mean if they really intend to, they could create universe bigger then anything else with more then 5000 years of actual content and lore. But if they keep on hot fixing major bugs and performance problems at some point they will just reach the end of the line and have a utterly broken product in the end.

I really love this game and i wouldnt mind paying more to support the acutally growth and health of the game and im quite certain that a lot of you guys would support that as well, but then ZOS has to deliver which seems to be the actual problem.

Its like they are not learning from there mistakes, i mean just look at the problems with steam etc. just now, its like they trolling paying customers which annoys lots of people for a good reason. For me it feels like they are not taking anything serious whats coming from the community.

I mean mistakes and bugs are something normal but having to struggle with the same problems over and over again just feels unrewarding.

I highly disagree with there self set dlc & chapter timetable i would rather have a 1 well functioning chapter and 1 dlc per year then a lot of half-hearted content which didn't get the love it deserves.

Honestly, I don't know what they're doing anymore. But as I sit here, once again locked out of the game because of login issues, dealing with crashes, glitches, and lag since Summerset, it does seem that quality control is not high on the priority list. They want to sell crowns and ESO+? Fine. But first provide a gaming experience that's worth the investment. Too many here complaining instead of enjoying the game. Someone needs to get a clue.

Zenimax never actully post something adressing the initial problem do they?
I mean I check everytime the icon for them posting is there. but never ever is it an actual reply to anything.

    Are they reading the forums?

I was noticing this as well. Every post recently is the same copy paste.

Yes x1million times. Please please consider an Oceanic megaserver. If you do, please allow one time transfer! :)

You really wont enjoy that.. I'm Aussie but the servers would be so empty you wouldn't be able to get lots done and one time transfers would mean we'd be stuck in dead servers for a while..

In theory it would be awesome but in practice it wouldn't be.

To be able to trial raid and play small scale pvp without lag I would gladly play on a dead (oceanic) server. Maybe the market in asia would be bigger than you think.

I think the best solution would be, if ZOS close the game and let another developer/publisher create ESO 2.

Blizzard implemented a mixed solution with no problem. Servers exist in Aus and depending on the player count the instance either spins up in Aus or in NA for PUGS and for organised groups its based on the leader. Open world is based on the actual server of course for WoW but it wouldn't be the end of the world if open world was NA based, but seeing as they already have an instancing system in place I imagine otherwise there would be thousands of players on the screen at once a similar system could apply for open world.

But... they have to want to do it. Which I dont think they do.
