Please make sure you selected the right role before you join. ( you would think the 30 minutes queue would be suspicious enough )
2 tanks are a nightmare especially if the other one runs around and actually wins the taunt fight.

Since when would bonafide Tanks or Healers EVER intentionally queue as DPS?

Are you sure the 2nd tank wasn't actually someone running with their PVP setup? I've seen plenty of these wearing heavy armor, armed with S&B, and that use Leap to try and kill mobs after the real tank has wasted time grouping them. Fun fact: the mobs usually don't die from Leap, they just get knocked out of everyone's AOEs. But at least some have the decency to inform you from the start: "I'm in PVP gear because I didn't feel like changing / just here for the Keys and carry lul"...

The sheer amount of incompetent players is best shown when you come to the first mobs in a vet dungeon. If it takes too long I just leave group and do something else, no point in trying a vet dungeon with DDs that produce less than 10k dps.

The problem is that normal quest mobs and bosses give absolutely no motivation to develop any kind of rotation. If players dont research their class there's a good chance they will perform worse than vet Mudcrab.

LOL. I kick them from group. I'm pretty tolerant, but I'm not so wealthy on spare time that I can afford to spend 90 hours watching somebody puncture away 5M hp.

Lol. Some players don't actually know that Puncture/ice staff heavy is a taunt(or even what a taunt is). To be fair I didn't understand what "taunt" meant when I started the game either, you should just enlighten those poor souls THEN if that doesn't help, you kick.

I did actually get a healer queueing for fake dps in vet WGT once. Was hilarious. I was on a pure healer, they had healer/dps selected and - oh the irony! - they got selected for dps role...and all they did was spam Mutagen XD Me:"hey x, I'm the healer, can you just dps?" x:"can't you dps instead" me:"um no I can't, I'm on my pure healer setup and I queued as such. You queued as healer/dps" x:"well I was just looking for quick random..." Had to kick. Fortunately replacement didn't take long.

Last night I got into a group for vCOA2, I was the healer and about 100CP above everyone else, which at 410 concerned me but hey I’ll give it a shot.

Got to the first group of cats and it took well over a minute to kill them. I walked out.

Just because you know how to step foot in a vet dungeon doesn’t mean you should.

I don't mind the clueless ice staff heavy attackers, because I've never met one who wasn't polite about it after I pointed out "Hey, did you realize you were taunting the boss?" Most of them don't want boss aggro and are more than happy to stop taunting the boss.

The DPS who was using Puncture, on the other hand...that one threw me for a loop.

yea, you will see a lot of pvp players in dungeons in sword and boards and resto staves and i at first questioned what the hell are they doing? oh right, you are specced for pvp and doing less than 10k dps, you just want a carry.

good thing i dont do dailies with randies anymore, saved myself a lot of headaches

Instead of leaving and kicking you should try to help them for future (and in a nice patient way, not derogatory/impatient manner). We were all new and had to learn once. Be a positive influence on the community, not a negative one.

It's very well known that it is a lottery when random queuing: you'll get all sorts. If you're not willing to accept that, I'd suggest perhaps not to queue in the first place.

We dont expect everyone to be a pro player...however in a game like eso where its a piece of cake to hit 20k dps by rolling your head arround on the keyboard we can expect ppl who que as DD to deal 15k or more....even in PVP gear

I always wonder what those players kill in PvP since:
- most players have higher resistance than mobs
- most players block, roll dodge, shield or mitigate in various ways
- their DPS is halved in Cyrodiill on top of that
- even in PvP you should slot Heroic Slash over Ransack since it has more damage and snares
- even in PvP you should run a DPS weapon on the other bar, for example 2H for Reverse Slice, Brawler, Rally etc.

On top of that virtually all of those players I've met have ranks lower than Corporal (2 tresses) which can be gotten in a couple of hours or less of zerg surfing and keep flipping. And once they get in dungeon they die to trash mobs, that follow automated sequences, so they should die even faster to other players. So they are plainly bad players, not because they specced for PvP, but because they don't have a clue how they should use the lousy build they parrot copied from somewhere

Then play with your guild or friends and stop expecting good results from a random grouping.
The guy that can't reach expected DPS yet paid for the game just as you did and has every right to get better by experience that comes from actually playing.

Why are you assuming that a healer or tank selected the wrong role? You probably grouped up with a total noob who thinks that 1H+S is an acceptable tool for damage dealing, and doesn't realize that puncture is a taunt. Granted, if that person was doing other tanky stuff like grouping adds and immobilizing them, you might have a point... The other possibility is that you got grouped with a lazy PVPer who doesn't want to swap builds, but that's less likely, given the taunting.

Why were you even killing the cats at all? Jump off the waterfall - you can avoid everything in the entire first section. Just run to the doors.

LOL. I thought this thread was poking fun at the fake tank threads since many tanks do not queue up due to finding groups with low DPS.
