How do guilds have colored text and pictures

There are multiple color codes you can use to color text when you type guild messages, there is a list to them online

It's just really basic ingame code, obviously not an exploit since it doesn't really do anything but change colors and make you reach the character limit really fast

My Guild gets none of them-thar fancy-schmancy "colors" or book-lernin.

Just dumb-dumb white text for -my- Guild.

What I’ve been unable to get to happen is to get the image to act as a background to white text, in the guild MotD area.

I was told it had to do with the pixel dimensions, but in my experiments I couldn’t get the text to be foreground and the pic background.

This is on Xbox.
