The mouse drift you are experiencing could be the result of your current mouse settings. Disabling pointer precision may stop the drift from occurring. You can do so by following the steps below.
- Go to Control Panel.
- Check under Hardware and Sound.
- Select Mouse.
- Go to the Pointer Options tab.
- Uncheck the box labeled "Enhance pointer precision."
If disabling enhanced pointer precision hasn't made a difference, you can open a support ticket to have this looked into further. When doing so, please include a game consultant report as it's possible there is a program conflict causing this erratic behavior with the mouse.
My mouse also started to drift recently (and unchecking enhanced mouse pointer didnt fix it) but I think it corrected itself when I switched from window (fullscreen) to just fullscreen and then back to window (fullscreen) again. Switching between the two modes changed my resolution which I think was what it needed.
This.
I read this too somewhere, did the same, have not had the issue since.
Looks like that fixed it. It seems to be a resolution problem? The resolution was all wrong when I changed to fullscreen mode and I had to mess with it to get it right again. This happened to me on the PTS. I run the game in windowed mode as well, but I'll try to change it around as suggested and see if it helps.
Okay so i have some more information on the issue. This is definitely not a mouse issue. On the following video, you can see my camera starting to rotate when i harvest a rune resource. My hands are completely off the controls at this point. After i harvest the rune, i press "M" to open the map. You can see that my mouse cursor is not moving at all:

Then i press "M" again to close the map. You can see my camera continues to rotate. I am not touching the mouse:

If this was a drifting mouse, then the mouse cursor would be moving while the map was displayed.

Getting of a horse to harvest a node, leaving some game menus and even some ground elevation have caused it (there are some changes in ground elevation that seem to cause the camera to move and then re-align itself, although it being quite small and me not being one of the game devs I'm not 100% sure it does), I've also noticed the old horse "stopping for a tiny pebble" thing happening a lot more.
