The Secret of DC 1vXing Power! How do they play without regen?

How come so many elite stam based DC 1vXers are able to play with under 800 stam regen? Its crazy, you see so0000 many of them, that are able to sustain constant attacks and still like dodge roll like 20 times , there has to be more to this then heavy attack weaving. What is the secret?

Ask Kodi, Jules, Chief, etc...... They will hook you up with a great build!

is the chief engine build still viable?

    It's not.

It's a lot of "practice," which amounts to willingly subjecting yourself to near insurmountable odds and fights you cannot win. This results in a lot of heavily edited and selected clips that make it to Youtube, which inspire people to copy these builds - though not the whole "practicing thing" = and leads to disappointment when many of these same people wonder why they can't replicate those videos.

Speaking to the practice bit, while heavy attacking is a major factor, it is just one piece of the puzzle. In theory, the best builds will have the least amount of feasible sustain so as to compromise as little on damage as possible. The better you are as a player, the less regen you need. What does better mean in this context? Situational awarness, efficient game play, preemptively plotting out a fight as it happens, buff management, precision in attacks, target prioritizarion, line of sight/kiting capabilities, etc. In essence, you sustain on low regen by getting gud.

Equally compelling of an arguement however is this idea that it’s just cheat engine. The preferred argumentative hand waving technique for baddies all around the world.

Your sustain is based on your playstyle. I run almost 4k stam regen fully buffed.

Yeah, but have you tried heavy attack weaving? I’ve heard it’s a thing.

Ah, yes indeed sir. Though I think you are missing a key skill often overlooked, heavy attack between skills. Not sure if it's been mentioned yet.

I've found that the tactic you describe is great while zerging, but really you should work on sneaking in the occasionally heavy attack if you want to improve. Just my 2cents.

True, that could be a valid option. But I think you should combine it with... idk something like heavy attacking weaving or so. Personally, I heavy attack weave between my heavy attacks and follow up with a heavy attack for execute. That usually works.

    Plumbuses.

For homemade plumbuses, always push your dinglebop through a grumbo so your fleeb doesn't fill up with its own juice. Or you'll find out how badly hizzards can get in the way when you're trying to flag down a freelance blamph through a handful of chumbles. Spitting schlami optional. Ploobus.

Heavy attack weaving is so useful specifically for the elite stam based DC 1vXers because stamina weapon heavy attack channels are significantly shorter than staff heavy attack channels.

Also no one 1vXs on stam characters on AD and EP, clearly.

Heavy attacks don't actually work on AD/EP toons, unfortunately.

Must be an NA thing. On EU, they just weave heavy attacks.
