Can we talk about rune focus?

I’d like to begin by saying I’m coming at this from a primarily pvp perspective. So I main a stamplar on Xbox NA and channeled focus is my source of major resolve and major ward and some magicka sustain. My problem with the skill is that it only provides me with 7 seconds of these buffs unless I walk back over my rune or recast it. The rune lasts for 15 seconds so theoretically the buffs can last a maximum of 22 seconds if I never leave the rune. Despite this, I find myself having to kite my opponents all the time as a stamplar and 7 seconds is simply not a long enough time to set up a good burst without risking getting clapped by an opponent as soon as my buffs drop. Does anyone else find this to be a problem? Would it be too much to ask for a change to 10 seconds maybe instead of 7?

The problem is than you're kiting. Wrobel's stated vision for Templars is that they don't move. Just stand in your "house" and take it. And with no cc or roots to help you manage your enemies. Just stand in your rune, blocking and spamming jabs.

We know in practice this isn't an effective play style, but it's what Zeni wants for you, so they are unlikely to change the rune.

It says a lot about ZOS when Warden has a mobile Resistances buff for yourself AND allies, as well as Minor Protection for yourself, making it objectively better than Templar's Restoring Focus in every way.

The Channeled Focus morph is also outclassed by Warden having Betty Netch, a FREE Major Sorcery buff (a buff that Templar can't achieve without Mages Guild or expensive Spell Power Potions) and a FREE cleanse, and FREE Magicka return.

Channeled Focus costs 900-1000 magicka to cast so you're losing out on recovery already and you don't even see results of the recovery for 5 seconds or so.

In my magplar I use balance + pariah set, which is much better than rune.
Sarcasm is something too serious to be taken lightly

I was born with the wrong sign
    In the wrong house
    With the wrong ascendancy
    I took the wrong road
That led to the wrong tendencies
I was in the wrong place at the wrong time
For the wrong reason and the wrong rhyme
On the wrong day of the wrong week
Used the wrong method with the wrong technique

Wrobel expects Templars to "stay in their house" when all they give us for a "house" now is a restrictively-expensive Cleansing RItual and a difficult-to-maintain Rune Focus.

Warden's "house" is wherever they want it to be because they have a bunch of AoE damage, undodgeable spammable burst ranged damage, and different types of CCs as well as healing that competes with Templar's when talking about self-sustain.

It's the best of both MagDK and Magplar mixed into Warden.
