    Okay fine ZoS;
I'll allow you to remove my cosmetic features.
I'll accept that I wasted money and time in IC to get the cosmetics.
    I'll stop wearing Xivkyn polymorphs.
I'll not purchase future content in fear that you will change the cosmetics that were my motives in the first place.
Just don't think I'll blow 2'500 crowns to rename my soon to not have a Xivkyn face "Xivilai Lord".

Way to give me the middle finger. :'(

Bah! I have no expectation of them fixing it. Just like how you used to be able to see your characters eyes through helmets a feature I really enjoyed that they broke "fixing" something else and never brought back. I wouldn't hold your breath guys.

ZOS will get that feature back, they just don't know how they want to do it yet. They said so in ESO live.

Yes, they seem to use this one alot but they sure know how to get those dlc's out. :*

this sucks...no more hide helmet on the polymorphs - what about costumes???

zos killed the disguises in pvp, so I collected costumes and polymorphs...

    the xivkyn face is awesome...

But If they don’t break or inconvenience one aspect of the game, when trying to implement something new, how would we know it’s an “improvement?”

With the release of the Outfit basics article, it looks like they conveniently skipped over any documentation about how you cant hide helmet on polymorphs anymore. No other posted information I've seen seems to offer any other insight.

Upsetting how long it can take/took to acquire the various xivkyn morphs for nothing now. and the crown store purchased morphs like draugr now lose function...

I wonder how this will affect the crow morph released today...can anyone who purchased this confirm/post photos if hide helmet does anything on this morph?

Just now that I picked up a random 1.5k TV box and got the last poly I was still missing. Can just hope this will be addressed in a timely manner because having a big pair of pointy horns was one of two reasons to wear these, the other being the voice. The armor look can be obtained with motifs if you were willing to give up your dropped gear.

I'll be enjoying my polys in the meantime.

Oh yeah and the poly size. I'm used to playing Nords. Slapped one on my Imperial and was kind of shocked how huge he suddenly became.

Have they given an actual reason as to why the hide helmet is becoming a collectible instead of an option? This is like the one thing in the game that isn't actually broken and they are trying to mess with it. If it ain't broke don't fix it!

There was some mention of it on ESO Live. Something something we made a new outfit system that isn't a costume but is a costume and broke polymorphs we also had to remove and relocate hide helmet but there's 2 hide helmets now dodo. I'm paraphrasing.

That having been said, the outfit system idea is cool but it feels like its implementation was overcomplicated and unnecessarily broke other things.

If you can't implement new systems without breaking your old ones then you have spaghetti code. That is literally the exact definition loooooool.

They didn't break anything though. Moving miscellaneous gameplay settings into systems is a beneficial move, and the core conflict with polymorphs is that some have removable headwear but some don't. If they don't want poly heads that can be completely removed, then it's better to freeze the option until they can individually process each one's style behavior.

There's no reason not to keep the old hide helm system and it's atrocious what they did. Like they literally took the extra effort to take a feature and make it LESS ACCESSIBLE to players. Like why @ZOS?

Well as far as I know, something that was working and now is no longer working, is the definition of broken.

Moving the setting to another area, cool, sure, no problem, I'm all for standardization in many cases, but it not working on things that it used to is the problem. Which to me means the system could have been implemented in a better way.

Freezing something's functionality, again OK, sure no problem. But there's no mention of it in their official documentation nor mention of a projected correction time period let alone the correction itself. And keep in mind, yes there have been some exceptions, but how often do they go back and repair these aesthetic things? I'm guessing its not going to be high on the list if at all.

That’s such a pain in the ass. I hate when they do stupid, unnecessary crap like this. The thing that was great about the hide helmet function being in game options is that on PC, you could set a toggle for it with add ons. Anytime I wanted to wear or remove headgear, I could do so. Even without the add on, I could still click it on/off anywhere in options. What now? Every time I want to hide helmet, I have to go to an Outfit Station? And now I outright can’t with polymorphs? Get the hell out of here with that.

yes, this is really non-sense that ZOS wants to remove the option to hide helmet from the setting menu, that just does not make any sense!!!

    pls revert this decision ZOS!!

Testing on another character (just in case) it seems like they removed the helmet from the polymorph. I couldn't find any way to put it on. I'm glad they did something.

Yeah, that's better than nothing. But I'd like to hear from more ppl, because maybe it stayed this way for you because you already had the helmet hidden before update and it just didn't flip back for some reason.

Based on information on another thread and in patch notes, it seems in the settings where hide helmet was, it is now hide polymorph helmet. regular hide helmet is now a collectible. and none of them work on disguises atm. Still, glad I can keep my xivkyn's beautiful face.
