Because the crates are fire crates. Its like..if you buy fire crayes..you can't wait til next season and they magically turn into the new season crates

Where are they kept? I can't find anything in my UI that says they are fire crates.

They are kept in the crate window..the box type lets you know the season..each box have their own designs and colors

edit: I Got nothing but junk by the way. potions that are weaker than i can make, a stew that would actually be a detriment to eat and play with, a pet.... enough said , a costume that makes me look like an npc....yeah junk.

I got a lot of cool Body markings and tattoos that looks awesome on my Vampire Argonian. Wish i could spend real money on them, they are worth every penny, never saw anything better looking then that.

Also some useful potions and poisons. 30 or more events like this and finally i will get a Mount from Gems.

I actually had far more luck with this the free crates, than the 6 paid ones I got last month, where i got a fox pet, a mage guild costume, and a centurion dress costume.

This round I got (of note)
Flame Atronach Wolf/Horse/Camel
Imperial Centurion Guard costume which, is pretty nice looking
Radius Rebreather, which I kinda wanted as well.

I think I used all my luck, forever.

Of course now, I want to get crates from the next set, stupid temptations

Got mostly junk and a few body markings which do not show up on Vampires. But folks have already complained about that problem with Vampires but ZOS is not listening. Really doesn't matter though, the crates were free so I did not waste any money.
