Most of my later leveling including the Christmas push for cp690 was done running random dungeons.
Before Witchmother I had 3 characters past level 50, started getting skillpoints on 2 before event, random dungeons with an +150% boost vill give you 2-3 levels each run depending if you do dungeon quest and how high level you are.
Ran the lower level ones trough dolemns to get to 15 and then random dungeons, after the dungeons event only one was below 50.
Hitting cp690 I knew it would be an long time before I did another random dungeon :)

Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

I lvld a single one of my characters using the alikr dolmens.

    Never again. It was horrible.

From here on out, it's questing for me.

I have to mix it up or I get bored. I usually just do whatever I feel like and dont worry too much about getting to the next level.

I play the game and don't worry about the grind. I like both PvE and PvP, but play PvP more on the whole...long story short I don't level super quickly, unless I use an experience scroll or something similar. I don't have a level 690 toon. I thought I was going to hit the cap but got busy and then Vvardenfell came out. The same will probably happen when Summerset Isles is released. I'm at 662 so I might hit 690 before then, who knows.

I premake all my characters and level up their riding speed to max before I start leveling them. After the mandatory 2 month waiting period, I typically speed through all the zones/quests, collecting all the skill points I need for my character along the way (200-300). I usually hit 50 long before I'm satisfied with the amount of skill points I have. At this point I finish leveling up all of the more grindy skill lines or alternate weapons/skills that are useful to my character (alchemy, undaunted, alliance war).

I don't see the point for me personally to waste time grinding to level 50, if I'm just going to go back and complete the zones anyways for skill points.

As for leveling CP on a max level characters, that's where I grind. I will usually grind somewhere that drops something that I want in addition to EXP.

Dolmens and since recently zombie grinding cant run skyreach because of not having gold and me and my mate are too low leveld for it since we just switched from NA to EU.

Highest character now is 30 and used to be CP690.. server switching is not recommended ;'D

To me, questing is less mind-numbing than farming mobs someplace like skyreach. I also have a roughly even number of chars in each alliance, and that cuts down on the quest repetition as well.

as far as specific methods, I have often used the following:

1 - I watch for potentially high-XP quests at the point of turn-in, based on the gold offered. It's not guaranteed, but most of the time, high gold will indicated high XP.

2 - As I go through the side-quests, I'll run up to the turn-in point, and if it looks to be a high-XP quest, I'll then make a list and hold onto these without turning them in yet.

3 - when I have a pretty good list of high-XP side quests, I'll then do an MQ quest, which is always a very high gold, very high XP quest, plus a skill point. I may also progress the alliance quests in a zone, up to the point of a high-XP sub-zone quest. These also sometimes include skill points.

4 - I'll then check my list, and plan the most efficient path to go from one to another.

5 - When possible, I also try to coordinate this with my daily allowance of enlightenment.

6 - I'll then swallow an ambrosia and run through my list of quest turn-ins. My ambrosia of choice is the middle one, doubble the buff of psijic, and much easier to come by than the mythic one.

The nice thing of this is that you can use any or all of the above in any combination.

Another thing that I do sometimes is to stockpile master writs, then craft all the items, go to the writ vendor, swallow the ambrosia and run through the writ turn-ins. Also high XP for such little effort.

Finally, I'll take advantage of the XP buff events and anniversaries as well, since they stack with ambrosias.

Just questing. Doing all quests in alliance zones, doing all delves, dolmens and WBs there, collecting skyshards and Mages Guild books, exploring all POIs on the map.

I probably could never understand those guys in Alikr and Skyreach. I used to grind Alikr for Fighters Guild level to unlock Earth Forge on my crafter, it took like 1 hour or so and it was so boring, so mind-off, I was feel like a zombie doing this.
While I'm just doing quests I also get all skyshards, unlock all skills, find some good recipes/motifs and crafting mats, I earn very good amount of gold just doing quests. What you can get in Alikr/Skyreach? Junk for vendor and a couple of rings?

By the way, I never bother to collect/craft/buy any gear set unless I reach 50lvl-160CP. Armour and weapons I get for completing the quests or find somewhere is good enough for me.
One of the two of us definitely has gone mad. It only remains to define whether this one is the whole world or just me.
