Most Ultimate abilities in this game consume the entire Ultimate pool upon activation. (Overload definitely, and I believe Werewolf Transformation also, are exceptions.)
The Ultimate pool can go up to 500, which for everything but the exceptions is wasted upon cast.
What if the power of the ultimate, or perhaps its duration, was increased based upon the pool size when cast? Dragonleap, for example, is a very low-cost Ultimate at 125 points. Under the proposed model, that would still be the base cost required to cast, but the initial damage and the stun duration increased based on the size of the pool.
Obviously this could be a balancing nightmare. But would it be good or bad for gameplay? Would it create more judicious and more strategic use of Ultimate abilities?
