I'm running 5/5 morag tong and 5/5 kyne's kiss along with master bow on the front bar and maelstrom on the back bar for pve, however there are other sets that would be better. Such as 5/5 arms of relenqen and 5/5 sloads.

Marksman, ranger, hawk's eye, viper. Rather than buffing poison I'd rather focus on bringing up my recovery and reduce skill cost. Bow skills are an immense stamina drain.

why would sheer venom be any good? the nightblade execute ability is a close range attack, when you are using a bow at long range.

You front bar Sheer Venom, cast Poison Injection from back bar (Master Bow), swap, proc it from front bar on DoT ticks.

IMO a lot of builds race to stack WD and neglect penetration. They then boast about tooltips and huge snipes. Sacrificing some stam and wd and investing in pen will make things much easier on tanky targets that would otherwise be out of reach, while squishy targets will still melt quickly. Diminishing returns mean that balance between stats is normally the way to go, even on burst builds. I have been testing a dirty 1sec wrecker, subject to lag. It's a snipe, imbue weapon, light attack cancelled silver shards. It Can all be physical damage and can hit hard with automaton and another damage set, I like spriggan for pen. Lag screws this up though as your window is small on imbue weapon. Each to their own, these are just my thoughts.

After Wolfhunter's release the torugs pact set seems ok for starting out. There's good single target dps on a bow build with infused weapon traits and poison / disease enchantments.

At a minimum slot endless hail on one weapon bar and light attack + snipe spam on the other for 30+ kdps.

It needs to be replaced with Relequen when you get the full set, or try both together.

*Edit*. This post looks like a joke, but it's more like irony

Currently making a Bow/Bow stamblade for pve and occasional pvp.

    Sets:
    5x Relequen (body)
5x Veiled Herritance (front bar bow + jewelery infused) --> Will carry over its 5sec 400 dmg buff to back bar, proc's easily.
    2x Stormfist
1x VMA Bow (back bar - Infused poison)

    Race:
Redguard - BIS PvE (792 stam return on melee dmg every 5sec) proc's from relequen (1sec cd) + poison/disease enchant(2sec cd w/ infused))
Wood Elf - BIS Pve + PvP (I actually use woodelf over redguard because I wanted to try bow pvp too.)
    khajiit
    Imperial

The cool thing is this is the same setup I use on my stam sorc with what I consider just as good or if not only a little bit less effective from the usual relequen + advancing yokeda bis melee setups use right now.

Veiled Herritance will carry it's buff to the back bar so it makes it a strong set vs Hundings/Spriggans/Automaton and other static sets people are mentioning.

Use lover mundus, all divines, 6 med 1 heavy, put enough cp in penetration to have 3-4k to round out your total penetration to 7-8k with lover. This is optimal for most scenarios when you use major fracture, minor fracture, crusher and alkosh you should be hovering around 15-18k penetration in most scenario's.

Dubious cameron throne + stormfist is about 450+ stam regen added to your base + all the modifiers. This + leeching strikes and synergy's means you will never have to heavy atk with a bow. This is important as heavy atking with a bow is incredibly slow and costly to your dps, it also lowers the amount of relentless focus proc's you get along with slowing down your build up on gaining full relequen stacks. Keep that regen high.

    5 - Marksman
3 - Eagle Eye - love the range boost
4 - Hundings Rage - With the 2 hand bow bonus

Second bar - dual wield Axe and Dagger, Both Hundings Rage

I use a bow 99 percent of the time. I play mostly PVE but have dabbled in PVP but not with this setup yet.

    Back on topic:
    For PvP
Marksman + Hawk Eye/Morag Tong/Spriggan. Monster sets are for weapon damage (Velidreth + Molag Kena etc). Traits are Divines.
Your gameplay style is gank. In the big fights most likely you will die. Also, if someone would be able to catch in melee.

    For PvE.
Mostly the same, but you don't need Marksman there and Morag Tong. So it can be Hawk + Spriggan/Hunding/Twice-Fanged/Leviathan etc
I really like a combo of Relequen + Veiled/Twice Fanged also

"The Strength of the Automaton set increases the weapon damage of my physical, poison, and disease damage moves. Yes, this has been tested."

    @Night_Child

Are you sure about that? Unless there was a recent update to the set, I don't think it has ever increased poison and disease damage.

This is wrong. And yes, I tested this.
Automaton has 0 effect on the poison and disease damage abilities, like Lethal Arrow, Poison Injection, Acid Spray, Relentless proc, Toxic barrage and any other.
Redguard - BIS PvE (792 stam return on melee dmg proc's from relequen (1sec cd) + poison/disease enchant(2sec cd w/ infused))
Was pretty sure, Redguard racial passive has 5 sec cd...

That wasn't my point, I was showing that there is 2 options where 1 option goes off every 2 seconds so you would have that stam return every 6 seconds (within the 5 sec cd) or the other option going off every second and exactly at the 5 sec mark. Thanks though, clarified the statement.

Not everyone has relequen but an infused poison/disease bow on the back bar for endless hail is easy enough to get.

Redguard is the best pve option by far.

I'm thinking Sheer Venom + Morag Tong for PvP. While Marksman is an awesome set, the 8% damage boost is not as good as +10% dam vulnerability - if the tooltip is to be believed, Morag is not a damage buff but rather a damage vulnerability so it does not suffer from the additive effect of dam buffs. Morag will buff PI, snipe and acid spray (asylum bow), leaving out only light attacks and ballista. However Morag also buffs my venomous claw (dk), poison glyph, and the sheer venom proc. Another advantage of dropping marksman is that I can use this same gear for a non-bow build. Since I will be investing a lot for tri-glyphs and transmuted jewelry this is important to me.

Bows will be sheer venom + asylum or masters. Monster helm either balorgh for damage or earthgore/troll king for defense.

I've been running Marksman with Hawkeye and Skoria on my Bow/Bow PVP build. It isn't bad. But it doesn't really work for an all around build. I think I am going to switch to non-bow oriented sets to boost weapon damage instead and increase non bow skills and healing. Since I run Crushing Weapon as my spammable on the build, it doesn't benefit from the Bow oriented damage increases. Neither does Relentless Focus. Both skills synergize really well with a Bow/Bow build in PVP but a lot of damage is lost due to the skills not being bow skills.

I think I may run 5 Hundings, 5 Shacklebreaker. Shackle will give me more magic for cloak. I could switch Shackle for Spriggans for added penetration though.

This is true, and CP typically causes the marksman buff to be reduced to around 6% more damage done in actuality (for this same reason I DO NOT view Hawk's Eye as a viable bow build set), but Marksman provides a solid buff to damage while also being one of the best PVP sustain sets and Bow is the hardest to sustain stamina weapon IMO. I like the two of them (tong and marksman) together however, and I'd like marksman with sheer venom most likely, though I"ve never tested the latter.

A few days ago I tested tong + sheer venom in cyrodiil with asylum bow. Was a lot of fun especially the AS bow. I don't really see benefit in going bow/bow though so I'm gonna change my backbar to 2h sheer venom for rally + reverse slice.

Earthgore was great but I wanna try using troll king.
