I am unbelievably surprised at a few of the things that are coming in this update. Home storage? in an MMo?? I don't think I have seen that before. RPG's with homes, yes. It's almost expected. This patch seems like it is completely focused on making the players all around happy. Bank space and costumes pull weight with dollar signs for mmo companies. *I actually argued with people a month ago saying "Why would the be asking to lose money? Home storage will never happen in a looting MMoRpg. I have gained respect and It's been a pleasure to play this game and watch company since its beta. Zenimax has earned my respect over a long haul. They should All be proud of this game. I'm sure nobody there predicted 2017 sales. Based on 4 years of observation in ESO, 2017 undeniable growth in population size, guild trader sales and of course, longer lags through major cities (lol).
*** I would appreciate positive outlooks and comments*** Either way, share your opinions/acknowledgements. How does this DLC appear to you?

I've got to give them credit for the improvements they've consistently rolled out and the quality of the content. There are a few niggles here and there, but nothing that can't be ironed out as time goes on. I can say I've thoroughly enjoyed my time in Tamriel so far, and the future certainly looks bright.

Now just buff MagDKs a little and I'll be happy

While it is nice to see a lot of improvements being made, I’m not exactly too thrilled by it all. It feels like some of the features being added should’ve been apart of the game since launch, as ESO is beyond the beta stages (although, it may not feel this way at times). I’m also not pleased with how ZOS are treating MagDK’s, as when I did PvP, it was my go-to class variant of choice.

But all and all, I have no idea how I should feel regarding the approaching update. All I can do is hope for the best, and just keep it moving. If I like what I see, indulge in it carefully. If I don’t, then just continue indulging in other games.

It has been a bumpy 4 years. Personally I am enjoying the game more at the moment than I did at any point of 2017.
Over the last 6 months ZOS is getting more things right even if the culture on the forums is always to criticise. Delivering long requested features (tansmutation, outfit crafting and storage), gear sets are relatively balanced which has improved class balance (well now the same few sets are worn on most classes, but there is very little dps difference between good sets and the best sets), being more generous (e.g. brassilisk and free crown crates), releasing good/ excellent DLC, and more exposition (e.g developer comments in patch notes and monthly combat updates) are all giving me more confidence in ZOS to develop the elder scrolls MMO I have been obsessed with for 4 years.

    B) agree, I forever charmed, though these past few months been exceptional. Testing on pts been fun too. My own worry is how to prepare.

there's so much to look forward, but eyes are set on this new skin. Have you seen it? It's elegant, refined with touch of exotic. It's makes my eyes spark with a fierce combative spirit for this achievement.

I enjoy the game, but it feels buggy to me. I had problems just trying to use the guild trader yesterday, for example (no trader mods), and a weird bug where my boyfriend was still in werewolf form on my screen, but on his screen he wasn't. Weird glitchy-type stuff.

There is also room for improvement on general QoL. I've been playing for three months and feel like this is the least stable, less polished MMO I've ever played, in terms of bugs, general performance and QoL, and I've played a few. Yet, this may well be my favourite MMO to date, but please, hire someone who knows how to do some good QoL improvements.

Yes, there are lots of things I like, and while I could sing and dance about those, I'm not going to pretend the weak areas don't exist either.

Biggest thing I can give ZOS credit for is not being afraid to try and try again. This game has gone through some radical changes since Beta, some I agree with some I do not, and you know what? It takes a lot of courage to do things like the sustain overhaul of Morrowind for example.

Zos are great at filler, cosmetics and general fluff...which is fine by me. It's just the changes to the combat systems that get me sometimes.

But overall its a good patch to the base game, and a couple extra dungeons don't hurt.

Sad about the Coldharbour *anchor landing pad* as a home offer though. Been waiting ages for a little shack here, and unless ZoS are planning on putting said little shack up for sale as well... trying to build a house with these tools? Bwhahahah.. not got that kind of patience.

Happy, yes. Except tanks and PvE raiders.

I’m both of those and perfectly happy. There are alternatives to perma-block tanks, which are boring as watching paint dry anyway. Even on the axes Marybeth/ Leeching/ set of your choice and you don’t even need a healer. People are really stuck in this “tank” rut. Try new sets and configurations and the game will open right up to you.

Was going to edit, but the autocorrect on Malubeth is kinda funny :)

So you want a game that is completely finished, bug-free and has all things in it from the start? Good luck finding that one. Every game, either single-player or multiplayer is a work in progress and is never finished, or bug-free. Till last year we didnt have housing, so just be glad that they decided to add storage, because they didnt had to. Getting sick and tired of people that get everything they want eventually, and still manage to trash-talk and complain about ZoS.

...? What? That’s an interesting opinion. Especially considering MagDK’s are among the least encountered class variants in Cyrodiil. And for good reason. MagDK is ESO “hard mode” essentially. Always has been the case, unfortunately.

However, I’m curious... How is MagDK 1 of the strongest PvP classes, when: StamBlades, StamPlars, and StamWardens exist? Let alone MagSorcs and MagBlades? Correct me if I’m mistaken, but all 5 class variants I just mentioned have significantly higher: Burst damage, mobility, and resource management; sustain. In fact, 1 of those particular variants are so strong that they’ve acquired the title of “Bomb Blades”. Why? Because they’re capable of wiping out massive groups of players within seconds. Meanwhile, while all this is occurring... MagDK’s are amongst the strongest classes in PvP you claim? Mmm... Interesting claim you have there.

All in all though, I'm cautiously optimistic about the update. I know the outfit system has been a long time coming for many players. Plus I'll give credit to those crazy kids at ZOS for keeping the pot stirred. It makes for some quality entertainment, at least.

There's a lot of great features coming but some of the excitement is mitigated by the cost. Not the home storage so much for me (though certainly there are many taking issue at that expense, too), but the per-use cost for everything with the Outfit system. We're already paying to farm the motifs or buy them from the cash shop, we should not then need to spend gold every time we want to switch something up. Make it like every single other cosmetic system in the game and make it a one-and-done cost.

It looks like a very good update so far, which I don't think I've ever said before during the first week of PTS...or any other week. It's amazing to me that a game where players live for so long with their characters could go 3 years without the ability to make those characters look the way we want. But it's finally here, and manifested in a way that seems very well thought out (possibly excessive gold-cost not withstanding).
Something that should never have been, AOE caps, will almost be entirely gone.
It almost gives one hope that there will be some future delivery on Cyrodiil updates, or that priority we heard about regarding PvP performance....or jewelry crafting...etc....etc...

Zenimax focuses on making casual folks happy.

They are ruining comepetetive player's experience with every patch.

This time tho, removing of AOE caps looks good but its far from enough after all bad changes.

New interupt mechanic? I bet it will bring more bugs, potential exploits, ppl will have hard time to adjust. PVP folks are already salty but apparently Zenimax wants to feed us with more toxins.
