I think the most annoying thing (really only annoying thing to me) is that when you are mudded and you were in 1st person view that you are immediately shoved into 3rd person. Which can mean that you were trying to talk to a merchant and you just accidentally stole a dagger or bow or whatever. Yep I have had that happen more than once. So remember kiddos don't ALWAYS throw mud at people at merchants.
The mudball is my defense against the more annoying people in the game though.
i heard zos banned ppl for this but prob just a rumor.. but anyway this post is pointless, mud balls matter.
When I get hit with a mudball I throw one right back and have a good ol' fashioned mudball fight.
It definitely shouldn't interrupt fishing(does it?) though and it should not be visible at dye station - along with other stuff, you can also see buff effects and such while dying your armor. Dyeing shield with DK igneous weapon on is particularly fun.

Fixed that for you!

If someone takes it to an extreme and uses it for harassing an individual, or individuals, with the intent to repeatedly disrupt what they are doing, then some form of interaction with customer support will probably happen. I wouldn't say that it always results in a ban, though. Depends on the circumstances.
Places to stay away from, if a person is intent on using them, are crafting and dye stations. Stay away from anything that will actually interrupt what they are doing. Also, don't "pick on" someone. One and done. When I get hit with a mudball I throw one right back and have a good ol' fashioned mudball fight.
This is why they are in the game and why they work all year. They are intended to be fun interactions between players, and they are, for most players. It definitely shouldn't interrupt fishing(does it?) though and it should not be visible at dye station - along with other stuff, you can also see buff effects and such while dying your armor. They really do need to fix the dye outfit stations so that the world does not intrude on what is happening.
