At 36:30 Rich says that there 270 legs styles, now as far as I know there are 57 motif styles in the game . Now we know that when you create an outfit that you can choose each armor piece to be either light, medium or heavy. However that would tell us that there are 171 (57*3) leg styles that a person can learn. Does this mean that ZOS may be introducing new styles with this system, or does that mean that we would be able to for example transmute gear into lv 10 breton style instead of lv 160 breton style for example. Or perhaps Richard just read out the number wrong.
What are your guys thoughts on this?
This is slightly wrong. There is currently 56 Motifs in the game, Clockwork hasn’t been released yet.
I have 56/56 motifs learned on 2 characters so far.

Can we get a more in-depth article explaining this, or perhaps a couple of screen shots? I loved the fact that you guys still did the Live show but, the camera last night looked like ***.
They did the ESO Live show via webcam because there were technical difficulties (hardware issue) with the live stream. There was about an hour and fifteen minute delay from the scheduled start. Just FYI ...
OMG please let this mean you can create low level outfits!!

there are 10 materials that creat 3 different looks. x57=171. most likely a verbal mistake and he meant to say 170 not 270

RichLambert confirmed that it wasn't a verbal mistake earlier in this thread:ZOS_RichLambert wrote: »Yeah some motifs have multiple styles associated with them for level of item. There's a crazy amount of customization with the system.

Interesting. that would mean an increase of 100 styles. I dont see how that would be possible but wow... just wow.

You get the extra 100 because you have 11 styles that have 4 sub- styles each so you get 270 which = (11*4*3) + ((57-11)*3)
We can craft any style but crafted level 160 armour will always look like level 160 armour.
With the outfit system you can wear max level armour but have the appearance of level 20. This wasn't known at the start of the post (could easily have been only able to have max level appearance) but it's now been confirmed that it's possible.
It's a big deal because a lot of people, myself included, prefer the appearance of lower tiers of armour which have been impossible to get at max level
